Short sleeve button ups look good -- if they are the proper fit, and conversely can look incredibly frumpy if baggy, long sleeves, etc.
Agreed. I might consider getting some if I could find a brand that fits well … preferably so well that I don't have to pay the tailor tax.
Until then, I'll wear long-sleeve button-ups and roll up the sleeves.

I prefer linen or linen/cotton shorts to chino shorts. Linen is much better for hot weather. In my opinion, it also has a more interesting texture.

Everytime I click her videos I just scroll the comment section to see what people are still falling for Ashley's OPINIONS (because that's all these are) and thinking they're gospel.
You're 50. I'm sure whatever you're wearing is probably just fine, unless you're wearing like a trasnformers t-shirt with crocs (which is likely not the case). Stop thinking Ashley's opinions are the be all and end all.

Loafers didn't get mentioned for the millionth time? It was a good video, but for some reason, loafers are so summery, it was surprising not to see them included. But then, she's covered them so thoroughly, so many times.

I feel there are so many brands out there that seem to "specialize" in certain things which makes it diffifcult to have a one stop shop. Where do you get affordable chinos other than what you've recommended before with Uniqlo and J Crew? H&M? Bonobos? Banana Republic? Thoughts..?

I will still go with my cargo pants. I just love the extra pockets for my wallet or phone.
Then do it, but just know if you want to look your best, that's not a good option, you're really damaging your style to the point you almost might as well not watch these videos. And I promise you, in all my cargo shirtless years, I've never had a problem fitting my wallet or phone into my shorts. Regular, non-cargo shorts have pockets too. :)
"Fashion experts” keep trying to kill cargo pants and shorts, but they won’t go away and it kills them. I’ve got cargos in so many colors for almost every occasion, even cargo corduroys and cargo blue jeans. It’s all about how you dress up everything else around them. I like always having my phone, charger with a 6’ cord, AirPods, wallet, keys, and Leatherman knife/tools. My keys have a mini flashlight, multi tool, collapsible pen, and para cord that holds up to 500lbs. The only time I’m not in some form of cargos is occasions requiring dress shoes. You can be tactical and still look good.

@@karlr750 Good for you with the warm temperatures; here in the UK, it is bloody cold and still spring. No, it is not illegal, I just want clarity on what time of year it actually is. Saying it is summer when it is spring is not different to saying it is winter.
