1963, THE MARKS OF MAN is an educational film that explores and explains Hezekiah's Water Tunnel which is part of Jerusalem's water system and is located under the City of David. It connects the Gihon Spring, that is part of Jerusalem's fresh water supply and the Siloam Pool. According to 2 Chronicles 32:2-4 and 2 Kings 20:20, this tunnel was dug during the reign of King Hezekiah of Judah to prepare Jerusalem for the imminent attack of the Assyrian king, Sennacherib.
This film was produced by Max H. Rarig for Griffon Graphics Inc. and is narrated by Dr. Frank Condie Baxter who was an actor and writer, known for Our Mr. Sun (1956), The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show (1950) and The Mole People (1956). He also narrated a number of educational films that I remember as a young man in school. He was a favorite of mine and I learned a lot from him due to his captivating voice and mannerism.

You are welcome, I really enjoyed this film. I knew nothing of Hezekiah’s water tunnel and hearing Dr. Baxter after so many years was a real treat. Thank you for watching.

It’s done, I think I will start adding about 10 seconds of blank footage At the end of every film so that people can see the end credits easier without looking at the advertising. Take care and good to see you again.
