Miss Zomkey Tenzin possessed a diverse heritage, born Tibetan, raised in India, and now a resident of Belgium since the age of 10. This rich cultural background provided her with a deep understanding of both Eastern and Western traditions.
As a refugee who found solace in Belgium, she held deep gratitude for all the blessings it had bestowed upon her and embraced the opportunity to pay tribute to the country in the Miss Glam World 2023 contest held in India.
India held a special place in her heart, and she felt a profound connection to its language, food, and vibrant culture. Fluent in Hindi and well-versed in Indian customs, she effortlessly bridged gaps and formed strong bonds with the people through shared interests and common language.
Pageantry had always been her passion, serving as a driving force in her life. Her pageantry journey began with Miss Exclusive, a transformative seven-month experience that ignited her enthusiasm as a 16-year-old girl. Immersing herself in the company of girls from diverse cultures, she revelled in the joy of learning and growth, cherishing the opportunities that came her way.
This marked her third international pageant, building upon the experiences and wisdom gained from her previous endeavors.
Having previously participated in Miss Asia Global in 2019 organized by Pegasus, she nurtured a deep desire to compete in their pageants once again. Stepping into the realm of Miss Glam World, she felt a sense of familiarity, having developed connections with the people and the photographers.
Grateful for the opportunity to participate, she approached each day as a contestant with punctuality and unwavering determination. She effortlessly connected with individuals from different cultures, fostering meaningful interactions. Supporting and uplifting her fellow contestants during challenging moments became second nature to her, embodying the spirit of a true winner as she fearlessly forged ahead. Revelling in the royal treatment bestowed upon every participant, she cherished the enchanting atmosphere that surrounded the pageant.
Understanding the apprehension that accompanies taking the first step, she encouraged aspiring participants to embrace hard work and perseverance. Believing that practice makes perfect, she emphasized the significance of mastering both the art of walk and genuine communication, which begins with treating others with kindness and respect.
Beyond her pageant endeavors, Miss Zomkey Tenzin immersed herself in various hobbies that enriched her life. Reading sharpened her communication skills, while swimming and dancing served as outlets for her artistic expression
Witnessing the empowerment of women of all shapes and sizes within the pageantry realm fueled her passion further. Having overcome her own insecurities and transformed into a poised and confident young woman, she attributed her newfound self-assurance to the transformative power of beauty pageants.
As she embarked on her reign, Miss Zomkey Tenzin vowed to inspire others and fulfil her responsibilities with utmost dedication. She dedicated herself to promoting her charity causeway, which focused on supporting refugee settlements in India. Her inaugural project involved providing hot meals, which brought immeasurable joy and smiles to those in need.
As Miss Zomkey Tenzin continues to embark on her remarkable journey, we have no doubt that she will ascend to even greater heights. We are excited to witness her continued growth and the remarkable achievements that lie ahead for this exceptional young woman.
