Hey Kurt, if you want to do like a 3 hour episode showing the diff being cleaned and reassembled, I think most of us would be ok with that. Just sayin. 😊
@@bebo4807 I think they're referring to him taking the time and using experts to know what clamps go where as almost no one does that on restorations. Not even Weald.
The Splathammer bracket research is just the kind of attention to detail and dedication is work Beau and the team are now renowned for the world over. The splathammer is designed as a safety tool that doesn't produce a spark when hitting something metal. It also doubles as an axe, so a perfect piece of kit for a tank crew. Bravo. You guys could have made the video an hour long and we'd all be glued to the screen... Brilliant!
@@gerhardwagner2906The Splathammer would be the perfect name for it in English, anything soft that you hit with that massive hammer is going to go splat lol
Your work is so amazing. This high level for the details... respect for the talent from the team. Best Regards from Germany 😊 PS...Funny Detail... i live in Ansbach. The Place that produce the Wheels for the Jagd Panther in the Onoldia Ofenwerke for MAN in Nürnberg
I am totally blown away by what you chaps do to keep these wonderful pieces of history in tip top condition for all to see and experience, your knowledge and expertise is exceptional. Regards from Wales 👏👏👏👏
Man, I feel so blessed to watch the skills Beau has with all of the tools and practices he expertly utilizes. The delicate touch on the break that can easily snap a battleship in two he has for the small brackets is sweet. Thanks again for all your guy's hard work and sharing your content with us!👍 I do hope to purchase some battle damaged little square cubes of armor plates from the gift shop in the future! Or pieces parts. Imagine how many slices you can get cutting medallions up from a tortion bar to sell to support the museum!👍✅ Whether it's from a Sherman, Churchill or Stug etc. I'm sure it will be a hit!🎉 Thanks again guys!👍
Jess and Beau (and Daryl) are masters of their trade and with no disrespect to any of the others, the key element of this whole workshop. It's a pleasure seeing the work they produce. 🙂
I look forward to workshop Wednesday every week, just to watch the metal magicians and welding wizards at work, can't wait until I've saved enough to visit
I am completely addicted to this show. Been a viewer for years. The craftsmanship is inspirational. I would visit all the time or ask for a job if I lived closer. Thank you!!
Ivesaiditbefore and I'll say it here again. Beau is an absolute artist when it comes to fabricating things. The work he does to replicate things that have rusted away is amazing.
This is a nice demonstration of shop fabrication. The Aus Armour crew is highly skilled and fascinating to watch. I think I've even learned a few things. Many many thanks.
All I can think, when I here the outro music, is "OH NO! Already!?". Haha! 😉 Great video! Thank you! Beau is a magician! His attention to detail is awesome! I love his work. Don't ever let him go elsewhere, you hear?! 😉
I've just started making the model of Stug 3 G and had no idea what those little pieces next to the cleaning rod holder are.Thank you guys for giving me the answer for that question !.So happy to know Mr. Adam Man helped this tool holder restore project. 😊PS: I believe there might be some kind of Cushioning material such as rubber or leather on that holder.🤔
Some clamps have leather riveted inside them but not always. It depends on the type of clamp (there are three standard types plus the Hetzer variant) and also what tool is to be mounted.
I’m impressed with the skills involved and the amount of time it takes to do this beautiful work. Further, I’m very impressed by the dedication to the finished product, the drive to “do it right” but also THE AMAZING COMPLETELY ATYPICAL APPROACH FROM MANAGEMENT THAT ALLOWS PERFECTION OVER CRANKING OUT 💩 in a cheap and quick manner. ( Caps on purpose). Outstanding!!❤
Chillin with a coldie and just going with the 'Beau'. A pleasure to watch a craftsman at work. And I remember the hull when it was all twisted and shattered at Ausarmourfest 2022 during the workshop tour! It's come a long way. Can't wait to see the finished deal...
So satisfying to watch y'all do the work. It might be of interest to the viewers to reveal how many hours actually goes into each little job, beginning with assessing what needs to be done, planning, and execution. I do a lot of metal fabrication (not professionally) and when I'm watching your work I'm calculating all the time each step takes. I think a lot of viewers would be pretty amazed by those huge numbers. Hats of to all the members of the team!
Nothing better than watching a true craftsman at work. Always look forward to Workshop Wednesday. Could watch the lads stripping paint and id not get bored 😅😅 keep it coming lads . Guisborough UK 🇬🇧
What a wonderful team of craftsmen you have! I love the level of detail and the effort they put into each small detail of this project! My grandfather was a steel worker in the Ruhrstahl AG just before WW2 and I guess he would have been proud of you! Best regards from Germany!
keep up the great work. I love seeing the fabrication of parts. i cant believe youve been on this three years. looking forwards to following the completion
I like the tank model reference on the work bench. I’m also learning to dread the subtle introduction of music- that means my “weekly fix” is coming to an end.
Hey Beau that vice looks like your final exam when you were finalizing your boiler maker apprentice. My brother had an exact same vice when he was a boiler maker at a sugar mill, of which I used as a kid growing up on my Dads cane farm.
It is absolutely fascinating for me to watch you guys fabricating these parts. As a model maker for a few decades, I've had to make these tool clamps mainly from photo etch and they are a pain in the proverbial!! To see you guys doing them 1:1 scale is brilliant! Thanks again for the inspiration
I quiet amazing to see how much would have been hand made in the first and then beau is making it again But with out some one other than us watching his ever move Great work 👍👍
Check out the Q&A to this episode HERE➡➡➡ th-cam.com/users/shortsa9GCrpHjeFs?feature=share
Not really a 'rear deck' question, but will you guys consider finding a real Maybach for the stug?
Does the tool mount positions change from stug A-G?
Would StuG crews have carried much external stowage? How much room is there inside the tank for storing stuff?
Will you mount spare wheels on the rear deck?
What tools and such will you put on them?
Hey Kurt, if you want to do like a 3 hour episode showing the diff being cleaned and reassembled, I think most of us would be ok with that. Just sayin. 😊
Yeah
Fully agree.
If you would do an 8 hours special edition, I don't mind :D
Yeah I missed it if ya filmed it.
100%. MY BODY IS READY!
Beau’s like a forensic welding archeologist, the way he reverse-engineers those brackets. Keep up the great work, folks!
He has a research team too.
He made a box. Not really that difficult.

Very proud of Beau and his commitment to this project. I think we've even infected him with the tool clamp bug.
It was super cool to watch him forming those clamps.
@@Panzermeister36 agreed. I think I need one of those.
Thank you Beau and Kurt. You are my Wednesday morning wake up call! Beau is the Wizard of fabrication!
It's awesome to see and watch Beau's attention to detail. A true mark of a Master of Fabrication.
Beau is bloody amazing with his skills .. as are all the other guys at Aus Armour. One of the best channels on TH-cam by far.
32 minutes old and almost 3000 views, tells the story! Wish I had half of Beau’s metal working skills. Great job as always.
A lot of people eagerly waiting for Wednesday evening

Can see the passion passed on from the dad to both sons. Good work ethics and perfection 👌
Love seeing the world's largest set of photo-etch being bent and shaped into place! 1/1 scale :)
