    Do you know what the Turkish people are famous for? Turkey Sandwiches. Turkish towels! And today we’re gonna do it five different ways in the Cha Cha. Five Turkey sandwiches
    #1 Classic Way
    Quick Tip for the Leaders: Getting into the Turkish towel, handshake hold to begin; and we have two three, underarm turn keeping handshake hold, one, you’re gonna drop that right hand low so it’s easy to wrap behind your back and then its gonna go behind the back here, your right hand. Now at this point your left hand is going to take her left hand, and then we’re ready to roll.
    #3 Syncopated
    Quick Tip: Guapacha Timing is a tricky one. Two, three, four, and one, hold your feet position until you feel that connection for you to step, then you go. Wait! and step. And that’s your syncopated Guapacha Timing.
    #4 Double Rainbow + Spin
    Quick Tip for the Leaders: We go rock step, left hand goes over as you chasse, now you rock step again, both hands go over yourself as you chasse in opposition, one. Then as you rock here, two three, you’re just gonna spin, left, right left.
    Quick tip for the followers: As he goes into this head loop keep your elbows relatively loose, cause if you’re very stiff it’s gonna be very hard for him to take his elbow over his head.
    #5 Surprise Break Grapevine
    Quick Tip for the Leader: Two, three, four and one, now at this point it’s the same on two, but I’m gonna give a little pressure over that way to go three, and then I’m gonna bring her behind me. Four and one, same idea, pressure is gonna go that way for a moment to let her know, two on three, and then four and one. That way we get that surprise part on the box step.
    Quick Tip for the Follower: Footwork for the followers, check replace, side close side. Forward walk, small step to the side because you slide your left foot back slightly, side, back side, forward walk, side, slide your right foot back slightly, side, back, side. and keep them poquito, small.

    This video is 5 years old BUT wow you two hit it out of the park with it! I love the variations you demonstrate. Thank you for video helping me, and probably others, to bump up my dancing to a higher level of fun and excitement. Still dancing at 70 and I will only stop learning and improving when they throw my tired old body in a hole! 👍

      Thank you so much for the welcome! I'm so happy I discovered you two! I've learned a lot from your videos already, you're both very good teachers. As a female follower, after 15 years of lessons, my arm styling training has been sorely lacking,,, I feel our teacher has focused more on my husband, which of course there is only so much time... I love that I've already seen such great tips for arm styling and I would LOVE to see more of the arm styling technique. Thank you and have a beautiful day!

      debbiedoodledo we're happy you're here dancing with us! Thanks for the suggestions. 😊 Are there particular steps that you'd like to see armstyling for or just general techniques? What do u find challenging about dancing the arms?

      @@DanceInsanity I think general and specific technique, but it does also seem that armstyling can be a little overlooked in particular dance steps also. Thanks so much! Sorry it took me so long to respond!

    Your videos are great and so much fun! Thanks for inspiring me to learn Cha Cha. Would you consider creating a longer video tutorial of the classis way Turkish Towel?

    • @DanceInsanity
      @DanceInsanity  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Philip woot woot! Happy to hear that.😊 For the classic Turkish towel, we'll put that into our idea bin for future videos. Anything particular areas you have questions about??

      @@DanceInsanity Hi. As a beginner I'm getting myself confused, naturally! I've seen the classic Turkish Towel being led using the left hand and being led by the right hand. Just wondering how the lead differs. Many thanks.

    • @DanceInsanity
      @DanceInsanity  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Philip Ahh... yes, there are many connections going on for this step. For now, when you want your follower to cross behind you, you can lead with both hands. When you want her to rock forward (after you switch sides), you'd use your right hand more when follower is on your right, and your left hand more, when your follower is on your left. :) Try it out.
