I think with foundation,less is definitely more. It took me a while to figure that out. That's my suggestion for you to try.
Cassie. Your nails always look great. I'm sure you have a bunch of beautiful polishes. Why not do a video of nail care/polish storage/inventory? Then maybe include nail polish hauls, too. Just a suggestion. 💅

Eh, it wasn't that far off, and it still wore like shit, the correct color may make that less obvious, but it's still not really worth it (like most viral tiktok make up)

@@itsmecandicemarie Well that I agree with, you didn't mention technique, she does use too much product, but the correct shade actually won't help with things like transfer and just an all around shite product.

Shade range is garbage so she isn’t working with much I mean isn’t this why the foundation is getting such crap reviews ? Awful shade range there’s millions of people who can’t find their shade - like not even close. I’m on if them .
@@brooklin_bernek Yeah, people are really dying on a hill for this foundation and I don't understand why esp cos it clearly doesn't perform well. The dismal shade range only highlighting that fact, so yeah, most people will be dealing with this result since there's more people who can't find their shade. Maybe a mix-in would help but at that point just buy a better foundation?
This one looked really good on day 2, it seems like a great option for a lower price. I do think adding some kind of brightener around the eyes would help the shade match. It matches your neck well, but looks off near the eyes.

Maybe you should try these first and then get the right color before you film? This seems to be what other beauty youtubers do so that they can give a solid review including recommending the right shade for followers that know that are similar in skin shade.

When the foundation is too dark, Cassie identifies the shade simply as being "too orange or too yellow" 😳
You always complain. I never comment but you constant complaining is annoying . Go watch someone else then.
I don't understand the bad reviews left on Ulta from people who don't have even tried the product. Yes the shade range is ridiculous, but the reviews are there primarily to detail the experience with the product, not just to comment on the shade range or the brand itself. Any Ulta review not actually reviewing the product should be deleted 🤬

And this foundation is called Stay All Day 16h in Europe, I tried it and I hate it, it transfers like crazy and looks cakey 🤮

Hope you are feeling better. I still wear a mask in all public places due to Covid being so bad here in Miami. We have so many careless people here who just do not care. My friend is a RN and just in the last 4 weeks the hospital has had 54 deaths from Covid related symptoms. Age varied from 18 to 85.
The cats 🐾🐾🐾 seem to be getting along quite well and enjoying their new roommate Fig.
Continue to drink lots of water to help your throat and help to wash away the germs.
I think the foundation looked nice on you. I find it difficult to pick the right shade as well. Although, I do not wear makeup every day I try to look presentable when I know I have to go out somewhere.

Your skin could benefit from Pixi’s glow tonic!! My skin used to have tons of dry patches and it helped clear those!!

@@b.k8051 I wouldn’t say heavily fragranced. But if that is anyone’s concern, then they can make their own decision to purchase a glycolic acid toner without any fragrance like Paula’s Choice or Good Molecules.

I have a hard time matching my shade too. My trick (I don't know if that's a right term for it) is if I can't decide between 2 shades, I go with the lighter one, because after adding blush and bronzer, it looks fine. If I go too dark, there' isn't anything I can do about that. Adding blush and bronzer only makes it worse.
I like how the same people who say this is a bad shade range are the same ones who think one yellow shade and the rest deep shades is a good shade range
Have you thought of trying different products for weekly wear? I feel most foundations never work out for you and it's just repetitive and boring.
I love so many Essence products, however I will pass on this foundation, maybe try the new concealer

I agree with some of the other comments. Get the right shade and your audience deserves a redo, this is IN store at Ulta so the colors can be seen better there. I always pick the right shade online tho, you must not have the eye for it. 😮
So glad that you are perfect. If you don't like how she does her reviews then don't watch her channel but don't be so ignorant and judgemental. We can't always get our foundation colors perfected like you do. Not everyone has a chance to run into the local store to swatch things first. Some of us have to rely on online descriptions if we can't make it into a store.

You’re on and on about how pale it is well… you’re lucky it didn’t oxidize and turn orange. I have a concealer from essence that looks pale in the bottle, looks pale when I first put it on but then later on, it oxidizes and goes cheddar cheese orange….

It looks pretty good tbh, I'd prefer my foundation to be lighter than darker as I find I'd rather just be EXTRA GOTH for a day than have to deal with colour correcting my whole face with lighter concealer, lol! The shade range on this foundation is terrible, blimey O_O

Have you tried the cover girl ageless (the purple one) line of products? I am 32 going on 33 and it’s for “Matured Skin” which i have because I’m a 32 year old lady. I find it melts into the skin wears well, and doesn’t transfer. Would love to see you do a video on it!
I think the shade match, on video, was pretty spot on. Your face matched your neck anyway. But I know that definitely might not be true in person.
The shade is only about 1 shade off.

Ok, this is your job, testing makeup! So, why not go to the store and get the correct color match to have fair and realistic review. I would love to see what the shade best suited for you would look like. It is hard to get past the ghostly look.
Should have just bought both shades 😔 I don't understand why you don't try the foundation shade before filming to make sure it's the right shade, isn't it fair to give the foundation the best chance possible? Here are my two cents that nobody asked for. If the shade range is that bad, then why even review the foundation? If you had loved it and ranted and raved about it, then what, like 10 people can wear it? It just feels very performative.
Maybe those people will benefit this review, who find their shade from Essence foundations. There is tons of brands, that make too dark products for pale people. Even the "lightest" one is always too dark. I am sick and tired of this endless nagging about this one subject. Maybe pale people should start this same campaing too...
