I have been sent a lot of products from this brand and have had some nice correspondence with them. I can confirm that the products are solid. Some are not my style but the formulas are good and well packaged. I felt the same way as you where I kind of thought the overly ornate embossings and sponsored videos were a lot of hype. I think they are trying to break into the luxury US market and have some opportunities on their strategy and showcasing their brand. My fave product are their liquid lipsticks. Very similar to those new Charlotte tilbury ones. Charlotte kind of just copied what already exists in Asian beauty brands.

I love many products from this line. They face powder worked wonders on me, constellation palette is quite good, and I have their eastern romance eyeshadow palette in 01 autumn and it’s AMAZING! I get the best simple long lasting neutral looks with that one. There is something magical about the texture and looks I get . Waiting on this big eye palette now, hopefully it’s the same quality as as the other.

I’ve been loving softer looks this summer, and I got this eyeshadow palette and a smaller face palette with a highlighter, powder, blush, and bronzer. I really love them both. They sit well on the skin, make beautiful looks, and last on my oily skin.
I recently got the highlighter/eyeshadow palette that you want to get in your next purchase and I have one of the blushes (I forget the color I have). The formula is really good on both. The look is subtle, but I like that sometimes. And the packaging....like works of art! : )

Some of my favorites from this brand are the eye brow pencils, the eye shadow palettes, the little lip balm that's in a pot and I love the blushes. I don't like the liquid lipstick that came as a gift but I do want to try the lipstick in both of the formulas.
I bought that palette, their Phoenix palette in Retro Brown (I’m your skintone; only some shades show on me), the Eastern Beasts Sculpting palette (EXCELLENT and super useful, everything works very well on me), the Blooming Rouge Love Lock Lipstick (I got the lightest peachy tan shade and actually love it - it’s matte-matte, powdery, but the color is lovely, and it just quietly hangs out on my lips and isn’t drying, sort of blurring. The color is the star), the lip mask (love. Straight-up love. It’s a good one), a thin eyebrow pencil I don’t see on their site anymore (adore it, it was a great price, wish it was there to buy again and a little bummed about that), and the Pine Soot eyeliner (reliable, lasts, great). I’m sincerely enjoying the majority of the stuff I got. I’m so happy you’re reviewing it! It was a happy surprise for me overall.
9:38 the embossing reminds me of wenge wood, jade or the red resin layered carving. I don’t know if you know the red cinnabar resin which is the PERFECT cosmetic layering metaphor

I 24:28 I use a very light, fluffy undereye brush & pickup the By Terry powder off the lid: it sets my eyes beautifully for blending over & holding down my under eye corrector before concealer
Thank you so much for doing this. This brand has definitely been on my radar and surprise surprise no one is sure how to pronounce it. So far I have been impressed with all of the eyeshadow palettes. As far as the powder the I’ve you got most people are using for blotting during the day. It’s supposed to be great for oily complexions. They have a loose finishing powder that is getting good reviews. As far as the lips, the lipstick in that gorgeous packaging is getting the best reviews as far as packaging but more input formula. You’re right about the contour palette. The other one is the one people are liking. The only negative I’ve heard is some saying the blush too dark but then it blends out and people seem to be happy. Michelle Wong gave the mascara a thumbs up. Just looked at the site and that lipstick is lovelock. Would also like to see the other shade eyeshadow palette. Everyone is saying the shadows are buildable which is something else I like.

Tara, I've watched you for so long, but I'm disappointed. I don't think Americans should be supporting brands from China. I think its important to support Asian brands like Korea and Japan, but China given its poor stance on Ukraine and support of Russia (which has caused American businesses to pull out of China) should not be supported by Americans at this time.
