The comment about the USS Albacore serving in WW2 is incorrect, she was built in 1952 and launched in 1953. Her hull number is AGSS 569. The USS Albacore, SS-218 was a Gato class WW2 submarine. The SS-218 was lost in 1944, probably sunk by a mine.
