He was such a great character especially when he was being such a good guy and helping Quinn with therapy after her accident just a very carrying person overall
Still bumbed because Joe and Quinn didn't end up together lol they would make such a great couple He's like a real life Tarzan 😂❤ and man he's damn cute
Night Fever will always be my favorite...it shows off his range of vocals amazingly. That deep soulful voice and the beginning and then belting out Barry Gibb at the end...PHWOAR!!!
This dude legit WON in the Glee Project and was specialized in like 5 songs(half not even solos), given the shortest character arch in glee history after told was gonna be in the 3rd season (pfft, like the last half) and had so so so much potential with his voice but was pushed to the back right smack after Quinn walked again....they did Samuel so dirty. I recommend for people to listen to his solo albums and just hear who far he has come. Such an amazing artist. Dont get me wrong. I loved Puck and Quinn together. But they could have put Samule SOMEWHERE aside from the back.
glee always had the problem of introducing characters and then doing nothing with them. joe is the perfect example of that. why have something like the glee project if you aren’t actually going to give the winners a solid storyline? i would’ve loved to see his relationship with quinn actually go somewhere, they shared a lot of the same values and meshed really well together, and even if they didn’t last they should’ve had a little more than just one duet and minor flirtation. and then when s4 started and we got an almost totally new cast of characters he was just pushed to the background when that would’ve been the PERFECT opportunity time to utilize him more. what was the need to bring in a bunch of random new people whose characters all happened for transfer to mckinley at the same time when they already had so much talent to work from? his voice was one of the strongest male voices in the show and him battling his faith and learning that he can be both religious and supportive/open to all types of people would’ve been an excellent/controversial/deep storyline but they just brushed the surface of it with that valentines episode and then never really went back to the idea. a shame really.
i think they put Samuel on the show but he didnt give the writers any inspiration. So instead they wrote a character for Cameron (another glee project contestant who left competition with his own will). Basically Cameron was Joe in irl, but they didnt know what to do with the character, because Cameron was not around to inspire. Lots of other characters who gaves writers ideas were played by the people who inspired to the writers. Lea Michele/Rachel, Chris Colfer/Kurt, Alex Newell/Unique are some of examples. Kurt was written only for Chris after they discover him while he was auditioning for Artie. Alex was another contestant on Glee Project that always wears women clothes before performing to Ryan which gives inspiration to "Unique". Even though he didnt actually win the competition, he probably played longer time then the winners, because writers still got inspired by him. Same goes with Lea Michele. They has some thoughts about Rachel as character and they see that Lea would perfect fit for Rachel, since they re similar. I believe if Cameron played Joe, the character could be more on the foreground.
plot line suggestions for him: 1) He breaks out of his comfort zone when they end up singing songs from the Bonnie and Clyde musical and he's singing Clyde's songs and get crush on the girl (new character) who's playing Bonnie. I can see him wearing the hat and can hear him singing both 'Too Late to Turn Back Now', 'When I Drive' and 'The World Will remember me' and it's reprise. Just can't think of too many things for the girl to play Bonnie. 2) He starts falling for a Muslim girl who's brother is in the inter-faith paintball wars club after she meets her brother after the club meeting and they get chatting because she finds the comparisons between various religions fascinating and generally is a cheerful girl but has been put through a lot of prejudiced remarks because of her hijab and people think she and her brother were both expelled from their last school, she invites him to dinner at her place and he has a nice time and invites her over to dinner at his place and his dad makes an unconscious remark that insults and embarrasses her but then end up talking about everything later and start dating - songs I've chosen are specifically from two French musicals I've heard a few songs from, he sings 'Un Monde a Changer' from Robin Des Bois (Robin Hood) since it's sung by a young friar tuck and is about deciding to act, she sings 'La Flèche ou la Cible' from the same musical since it's sung by Maid Marian about how you're often forced to choose between being the target or the arrow, they sing 'Tes Blessures' from again the same musical since it's a duet between Robin and Marian about telling the other of their wounds both literally and metaphorically since that's a part of a relationship, vulnerability, trust, honesty and support, and then near the end of the episode now that they're in a relationship they sing 'Un Monde a Nous' from 'Cindy' (modern version of Cinderella) about how people want to tell them that this is a world without hope or a future so they'll build a world for themselves to finish the story on a lighter note and bring some smiles back. It'd be nice for them to do things in a different language, show their diversity, introduce unfamiliar songs to the public rather than always giving them what's on the pop charts, and pay homage to Finns idea of 'Foreigners' which wasn't a completely stupid idea.
He had the potential to have one of the most interesting storylines on the show but the writers did him so dirty. Also, unpopular opinion, but I think it would have been interesting if they had him and Sugar date because of how different they are
You're right. The way they chopped up Seasons 4 & 5, they had room to do more with the character and just didn't. screenrant.com/glee-joe-hart-what-happened/
1. Stereo hearts 2. Hall of fame 3. Some nights 4. 3 5. Saving all my love 6. What makes you beautiful 7. Cherish/Cherish 8. No scrubs 9. Footloose 10. Santa clause is coming to town 11.. Night fever
Tell me I’m not the ONLY ONE who thought they did Joes character dirty. He NEVER once got an actual solo all to himself like Rory, Unique, or Harmony. Idk if they just didn’t like Samuel himself or his “Christian story line”. Samuel had one of the best/coolest voices!

He was so underrated he’d had so much potential after season 3 but then he’s just basically a background character
I know, I wanted to see him branch out a bit more, break away from just being the christian guy. Plus, he hardly ever got a chance to really sing!
agenttheater5 they sold him out in the After movie too🤦🏻♀️
