Great video. I can’t get enough of watching people bushcrafting and cooking in the woods with no talking. I watch these all day when I’m stuck at work. Chicken fingers was a next level flex.

Best Campfire cook I have seen on TH-cam. Your patience with building coals and cooking there, rather than over the open flames is the way to go. I laugh at people who build a raging inferno, put a grate over it and expect good result. One of my favorite meals in the bush is bacon stuffed stick bannock. Cook the bacon, wrap the stick, add the bannock dough and roast slowly over coals. Yummy. I carry a bandolier loaded with spices, sauces and herbs. It holds 24 vials that I repurposed from Ginseng shots. I wear it across my back under my pack. Imagine people's surprise when I whip up Sechuan Stir Fry in the bush, lol. Great Vid!

Great video! Good trick with the flat stones for a seat! You could stack them close to the fire to get warm when you’re not sitting, then pull them back and re-stack for a warm chair in the cold evening. Great job on the tongs also!

Kusk Bushcraft no problem! I was raised in the lower parts of North America. Also your bushcraft shelter was very interesting. I never saw a tarp shelter set up like that. I will use that one day on my next trip
I think that the camp would be a LOT safer up atop that nearby bank. An experience on the Brazos River in Texas had a lot of pucker factor for me when a dam had an “inadvertent” release. Camp higher, mate. Getting awakened with water in your nose wouldn’t be fun. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying
Looks like you had another great trip! The tongs turned out great, very well done. I'm trying to make the mental switch to make more items at camp rather than bring them. It's added a self-challenge to my outings and I've found I really enjoy the process of solving wants and needs by creating the solutions from wild resources. Trying first to reproduce what I've seen or read, then trying different ways or materials. It doesn't hurt that the kit you carry becomes more tool oriented. 😄👍🏻

Just discovered your channel! A couple of friends and I often head into the woods but just to drink whiskey beside a wood fire. Our ‘Whiskey Walk’ we call it. One is a chef and recently we were talking about adding a wild cooking element to the ‘walk’. Watching this vid has certainly given me some inspiration so I subscribed. Apparently, you are committed to eating well in the wild. A cast iron pan would not be on my gear list. Excellent job with the food prep! Love the tongs and that super simple idea to make toast!
