I products tested these lights before they went on sale. I've been in minus 0° weather. No problems. I recommended they add a way to activate the rear reverse light with the button in the bed for additional lighting. However, they added a black wire connection to add a reverse led light that goes above the license plate for $75. It's a great feature to add on that light bar.
So glad I found this video. I did my 2022 F250 XLT with bliss yesterday and had a fast blink indicator situation. My resistors were not connected right. Watched your video and BAM 💥 all good now! Now I’m going to attempt to install the fronts! 😅
i have the XB hybrid headlights for my 2017 which have been great. only took morimoto an entire generation of truck to finally make some tail lights for these trucks. ill probably buy a pair in a month or so
Got a stone through one of my factory LED tail lights. Thanks to winter driving for that one. OEM costs almost $1100 plus tax for a replacement for one. Just ordered a set of these for what looks to be as a close to an OEM looking light but for significantly less money. On ebay used OEM tail lights are fetching $650-700 per lamp so at that price I just figured I would get a set of the Morimotos and have a brand new set of tail lights. Thanks for the installation video and a good video for how they look installed.
I have the ugly halogen tail lights. I would have replaced them already with the Morimoto lights but my truck is not equipped with the blind spot detection. If it had a cleaner look without the bliss I will throw them my money so they can take it! I love Morimoto lights, I do have the XB headlights and they are super awesome. Thank you for sharing.
I really like those lights you did another fine video I noticed you drinking bubbly the soda water I drink the same thing and then you have some of your co-workers there they started moving around when you told them to do the brake lights they know they're dealing with a super aluma duty mechanic good video A-ROD 💪🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Picked these up along with the headlights for my all-halogen lariat poverty edition, work and look great. So far no problems with the headlights, hoping their iffy reputation is limited to the early production runs.
If you have a newer superduty and these exact taillights, they feature a AMBER turn signal rather then a flashing red! Looks really neat. But the new trucks use a amber from factory, nice to see these taillights work on anything from 2017-2022 and they sorta just adapt to what signal style the truck uses
They look excellent! Wires were bunched behind the lidar, would that effect performance, should they have been trained around the side of the emitter-reciever?
Another good video. So my question is are those resistors for the lights or part of the blis? If for lights I would think you can just turn off the bulb outage in forscan right?
Hi Aaron, I bought these lights and got them today. Went to install them, and I only have 1 plug on the taillight? None of the new harness plugs into the truck. Any idea what's up with one plug?
Wish we coulda saw the reverse light, I have led bulbs in my stock 19 xlt for plowing and it helped a lot...interested to see how bright the reverse bulbs are
Sweet product, however, my pockets aren't deep enough AND resort to DIY mods... wet sanded preps, using 3 light coats of VHT nightshade, 2x coats of 1k gloss clear, followed by light wet sand and buff on my OEM lariat tail lights. Replaced all halogen with LED bulbs, with some forscan setting changes. No issues and has a slight tint during daylight, until lights are on and bright LED output. Tha ks ARod...
Make sure you get a higher resistor set from morimoto. Mine started hyperflashing and the brake lights/ turn stopped working. They sent me a higher ohm resistor with harness and so far so good. May need to add center marker light under the tailgate. The tail lamp is not really that bright if you are behind it. This will add extra safety.
@@j-rodreviewsstuff1992 they sent me a harness that connects to the two connectors to the park/brake then those harness have each plug that you also connect to the higher resistors which is 2 of them also. Before receiving the harness I tried forscan to turn off bulb outage but its still doing the same thing. The lights working intermittently. After installing the harness never had any problems and turned on the bulb outage back to on.
One of the few mods I've done to my truck was adding the rear identification lights to my SRW. Looks great. Didn't really need the extra light as I have factory LEDs, but I wanted the rear identification lights. PTT's pal makes a harness that duplicates the factory DRW wiring.
I am running the same setup, but I am not happy with the amount of ligh from the rear. When only the running lights are on there’s a minimum amount of light visible from directly behind the vehicle.
Installed them morimotos (smoked) about four weeks ago. Changed them right back to OEM. Why I dont like them? Check out how little LED surface you see on the park light when standing behind the truck in comparison to the OEM LED lights. I am surprised they are street legal.
Have a Lariat 2021 kind of disappointed ford doesn’t make these standard equipment. These are too expensive to rip and replace my factory lights. Nicely done though!
How is the fit? I have factory LEDs and the driver is crapping out. Tried Recons and they fit horribly. Was looking at these, but wanted to wait until I saw more reviews.
Have you ever ran into an issue where the full C led around the headlight stops running the whole way around? (Driver side) Happened on mine and eventually the low beam started flickering. I took off the light and dried it out including the ballast but now my turn signal doesnt work or the DRL. No more low beam flickering after adding dielectric grease on every connection but now the C led doesn’t light up on either one when the low beams are on only the DRL on passenger side, thank you
I installed these on my 2022 f250 and when i hit the brake the reverse lights come on with the brake light. Should i switch the two plugs around that have the same harness or could it be something else?
I’m running morimoto head lights love them nice and bright, but I do have a issue after two years there are pealing on the clear finish from the sun and starting to turn yellow.
had the same issue, along with some weird pitting. Took pictures and sent to Morimoto along with my receipt from the vendor. Long story short, I was able to get a brand new set under warranty.
@@colt4528 you should, for the price we pay for them and a decent warranty might as well utilize it. They also told me it helps them identify possible QC and material issues.

I just installed the gen 2 headlights this past weekend and i must say they are sweet and worth it----next up will be these but the smoked ones
Got mine install smoked ones in my 2022 temor f250 best looking lights out there
Man those lights look phenomenal. 👍
Nice A Rod. About to pull the trigger on the set for my 2020 XLT

No effect 🤌
Great video… new subscribers… just got a 22 f250 tremor looking forward to this mod for sure
We have so many, reach out 😉
Changed out the OEM bulbs to LED's!!😉👍...may in the future if the LED's give out?🤔...later👍💪💯
Can you go over the Milwaukee tools you use please

Arod! Do you know if the flashing module's that you installed on your truck will work with those head and tail lights?
Naw bud, i dont think so but haven't tried.
Arod, is that running outside line white? Or red? Also what color is the turn signal. Yellow ?
Red

They are not gonna work if you already have factory LEDs my man....
Got them to work. Plugged them straight in without any extra harness. Had to shave the line up tits off and it plugged right in. Thanks

Can’t remember the company name but they make pairs of reverse lights that plug into OEM and run @ 1k lumen
I got them on my 2019 and they are night and day compared to stock straight bars 4 in on each side
What’s up PTT #1 FoMoTech

Was the Forscan change for the hyper flash?
No forscan needed
I have a 2012 Ford F250 6.7 diesel how often should I change my fuel filters
Errr 15k
How does the radar unit in the tail lights work compared to the OEM? As good? Not as good? Better?
I have them on my 2021 f250 and I installed them myself plug and play really easy and it works perfectly
Same
Great video as always if I didn't have a 23 ordered I would get those for my 17 Thank's

Hi, I wanted to ask you if I can install these lights on a Lariat that comes with factory LED lights. Thanks
They have ones that go from factory led to these led

You should have used some sort of rubber mat or a blanket to place the old and new lenses on to prevent scratching!

What you think about changing intake on 2012, over to ppe intake, would it be worth the money, about 1400 for the kit, I'd think,
I think id dig it
Spend the money on Banks kit.

Same here. You can add the center marker light to help with visibility. The 2022 factory led tails are exactly the same brightness.
Nothing beats OEM.
