Costa Brava Underwater

Last weekend I got to explore the waters of the Costa Brava, during a great snorkelling trip with friends from Barcelona.
It was my first time underwater in the Mediterranean and all my previous salt water experience has been in calm reefs, lagoons and mangroves, so it was quite a challenge to film or photograph anything while being thrown about by the waves and avoiding the rocks. I'm far more used to the linear currents of rivers and the shallows of swamps! Still, it was an incredible experience and I hope to return soon and discover more, preferably with some weights so I can get down deeper.
I use an Olympus TG-5 camera with a Backscatter M52 wet lens and PT508 housing.

I always went on holiday there as a kid.. We were most of the time at the beach in a small bay snorkling.. Maybe it is time to revisite the Costa Brava & playa daro

at 2 minutes 56, look at the Posidonia, these herbariums are vital for the Mediterranean but are disappearing

Beautiful! nice clarity I love these rocky reefs, we got some nice ones around but every time I go to them to film I've had bad luck with clarity, they last few years we've had to many storms and floods around when I get the chance, maybe I'll have more luck this year.

I love the underwater footage. It's so awesome. There's this new channel called Art's Malawi Cichlids. He does scuba diving in African waters and shows fish. I think you might enjoy it👍
