Today we're going to show you how you can recover pure 24 karat gold from BGA chips.
It's a 3 days process we are showing you in a single video. You can find the BGA chips on computer motherboards and several server machines. These BGA chips contain a good amount of gold if you can extract the gold in the right way. And we will show you how to make the gold pure 24 karats. We used 2 different processes for the BGA chips. These chips contain 2 parts like the top parts and the bottom parts. We used different chemicals and different processes for these parts. Each chip weighs 1.5 to 2 grams. That's big chips. I usually take the copper bit out of the chip with snips before the processing. You saying that 400 - 500 chips will yields only 4 grams. I recon they yield way more gold than that!!
Usually there's 1 to 2 BGAs on a motherboard... 250 motherboards to get 4 grams...
Do you know if the wires inside the chip made out of pure gold ? Aloy? Or plated? On some chips they're thicker than on other.

The BGA that has the Silver circle on it will dirty you recovery. They are copper heat sink and have not as much gold. I separate them. I do this to get a better recovery!

The water you use is tap water or distilled water.

BGAs are not ceramic, its plastic and resin, sulfuric can not dissolve ceramic. You really let them cook longer, a lot of the squares are still semi visible

few of acidity and any others kind water soluble minerals wash out with hot waters, that's it

Hi, I try your method with upper part. I forgor to remove copper plate before using HCl+HNO3 so I have green solution with copper and gold. Is there any possibility to save my work? If I put Na2S2O5 I will have only gold?
You need to refine the sediment again using aqua regia.
But before that you can rove other base metals from the sediment using HCL

do you have any estimate of amount of gold in the top parts vs the bottom parts ?
By far, the top part has the most gold. Some don't even bother with the bottoms. Yellow corner BGA chips.

If there’s gold platings you can recover gold from them.

This process shouldnt take any longer than a couple hours. How much did you process, 1 kilo? If so your missing some gold

what is the reason for last filtering and dissolving process? cant we just pour the liquid out and melt the remaining ? I mean for a beginner like me
It’s called refining.
If you do the melting after the first filter you will not get the pure 24k gold.

You do know when you mix HCL and Nitric, That solution CAN NOT contain silver, it cant because once you have HCL that will make silver chloride as soon as it dissolves.

I am ignorant of the subject, but I think that with the filtering process with paper filter and cotton filter in the funnel 30% of gold is lost. The filtering process needs to be improved in my opinion. Am I wrong ??

But I read on the internet that there are other ways to extract gold from processors The university in Canada has invented an acid-free and much cheaper process.

That's a lot of acid, exposure to acid, more acid to get 4 grams?? There must be an easier way to extract the gold. I have 1 metric ton of motherboards, 100 KG of video cards, 150 kg of memory and 200 kg of CPU, I should have 40 kg of CPU after removing the copper tops. I need reverse gold plating to extract the gold from the cards where the gold is visible, then plate a piece of gold with all the gold recovered.
