Question for you: Why didn't you use a melting process to clean the gold? Since plastics will burn first, then Lead will melt and Gold you'll need lots of heat to melt it at the end! That way you are not risking yourself with dangerous chemicals. Don't throw away the lead cause it's good to make fishing accessories!

It's nice to see someone being frugal with acids, I think some people are using tons of it to try to boost Acid Sales not because it's required : ) Music good. Much to enjoy, but too long & too many ads. I'm surprised how few times Ive seen anyone agitate the material in the jar. Heat & agitation always speed up reactions. How about using FREE lens-focussed solar heat to warm the liquid through a metal plate it can sit on? Also if you insulate the glass container leaving only a level indicator strip as on a kettle you'll retain heat & make this process more efficient.
Sir very good but you are missing one thing , final step before dissolve gold is to break the silicon squares , there is gold inside and the AR won't get it all unless broken

I'm calling BS on this one. 16:36 and 17:04 There is no way you got that much gold powder from those few chips. The amount of gold you have in that flask must have come from several HUNDRED of those IC's.

This video showed one solid way of doing the process, but I am pretty sure there are cheaper chemicals than what is shown to remove the base metals.
Probably nothing cheaper to get to the connecting wires - sulfuric acid is about the cheapest acid you can buy.

Best video out there on this process with processors. Missing the part on what happens to the silicone and/or metal pieces in the middle of the gold wires after copper is dissolved. Anyone know if they separate during the first acid bath?

When you dissolve the Copper is there no way you can potentially rescue that as well rather waste natural resources. I have seen people stick a S/S Knife in the mix when it is dissolving and it cements on to it.
Copper is usually cemented out onto iron from the waste water after all other usable metals are extracted.

Amigo, este processo é realmente muito eficiente porém, o trabalho com o ácido sulfúrico é muito perigoso, usei o ácido sulf. P.A. 98,08% , o problema foi na hora de lavar que gastei muuuuita água e deu o maior trampo, sem contar que o gás exalado é muito forte, mesmo usando a capela de exaustão , todo cuidado ainda será pouco.

Pode ferver ele a fogo médio até dar uma fumaça branca; então estará a 98% (não use acido de bateria que colou a placa, 90% é água e o acido esta saturado de Pb)

Não há necessidade de neutralizar o ácido nítrico contido na água régia se você utilizar 3 ml de ácido nítrico por grama de ouro que espera recuperar, o ácido será suficiente somente para reagir com a quantidade de ouro que irá dissolver. Isso também irá facilitar a precipitação com o metabissulfito de sódio.

No começo eu fazia com ácido nítrico, mas , o ácido sulfúrico é bem mais rápido e melhor. Desenvolvi uma técnica para o ácido sulfúrico, faz uma limpeza perfeita e não gera a perigosa espuma que pode transbordar. Desperdício zero!*
