Dont know what men participated in that study or whom she has met but im one of the kind of men that love a woman who can make me laugh. It shows intelligence and creativity.
I kind of feel that this is a west-only (or probably US-only) thing. In my country, both men and women appreciates a person who makes them laugh regardless of gender. But on the internet, I often see guys saying "women aren't funny, or can never be funny." Which is something that I've never heard anyone say ever in real life growing up.
People in the comments got it all wrong. You can like funny women, that was not what the article talked about. If she doesn't find your jokes funny then you wont date her.. I think that was the point of the article she was talking about. Looks > sense of humor. Deny it or don't but sadly that is the truth when people choose partners.
I think it's just some people can't handle their partner getting a lot of attention. Or if both people are competitive by nature, it for sure wouldn't work out. Always trying to be the "funny one". But there's always exceptions 🤷♂️
I think a big part of it is, women on average just AREN'T as funny as men. So this rare trait is usually NOT a factor when men are evaluating what they may like in a woman. I think for most men, finding an otherwise perfect woman who can ALSO make them laugh would be seen as an unexpected bonus.
Why is she so much funnier on talk shows than when she actually does her job. I certainly do not think that women cannot be funny, and I have seen her standup numerous times and havent laughed once but anytime she's on Conan, I burst out laughing every 10 seconds.
It's because she's not a good actor. Standup you're kinda acting each time like it's the first time you told the joke. Nikki is naturally funny off script imo but not scripted stand up. She is awesome on her radio show and obviously talk shows
Maybe it's the difference in format, but i don't think you can say that her writing isn't great. To me she definitely has prepared material in this conversation. It's SOP for most comedians at talk shows.
I hear her complaining about it but look it it this way: Laughing at Jokes is way easier than coming up with them. I'd gladly laugh all day long about Nikki Glasers jokes if it meant dating a gorgeous funny gal
She Looks Great -- ✔ She's Smart -- ✔ She's Funny -- ✔ She gets home from work about the same time as I do -- Fail 😒 I'd guess that Nikki's problem is that as a popular comic she's on the road a zillion days a year. That's gotta be hard on relationships.
All I got from this video is she's a good comedian and I enjoyed this video 😂! But actually no, there is some truth to it but the reasoning is different. It's not that guys want women who laughs at their jokes. He wants women who enjoys his company. Because from ages it's been built into us that it's always the guys job to please the women. So if a guy makes the girl laugh that means she chose him so he's happy. So a reverse of those roles will be sort of wierd since it goes against centuries of conditioning.
FWIW, my husband tells me all the time how much he loves how funny i am and that he can’t imagine being married to someone and not making each other laugh the way we do, so they’re definitely out there ❤️
A good sense of humor was mandatory on my list for the right woman. My wife and I used to make up gag gifts for our friends in college. They all though I was the one who came up with everything cause she was too sweet. They didn’t know she came up with probably half the gags and some real good ones too.
I think it only becomes a problem for some guys when the girlfriend is funnier than him Me and my girlfriend are both funny and I love it. I couldn't have a dull girl
I can see how her theory might apply to quite a lot of guys but I tend to find being funny, very attractive in women, especially when they have a dry acerbic wit. I think I feel more comfortable around someone who can demonstrate their sense of humour rather than just laugh at my jokes (although a woman will ideally find me amusing as well), it shows they are their own person.
Well... At least I, love how much laughter my wife brings me everyday, she is one of the funniest persons I ever known, people have said in numerous ocasions to her 'Do you do stand up' or things like that. So, yeah, I think I like a girl who is fun.
Nikki is such a good comedian! Even though her bit was funny and I felt the fun she, Conan and Andy were having, I know she will find a cool partner if she wants to and make each other laugh.
She's definitely my favourite female guest on conan. Natasha lyonne is a close second. I wish Conan would just get like 5 maybe 10 guest regularly on the show and do remotes with them. The guests he actually likes. It's so much nicer to see andy and him truly enjoying the guests' company.
Heres the thing... shes not a naturally funny person. You can tell shes one of these people who works really hard on writing her jokes and they’re funny. Which is fine. But there are naturally funny people out there that don’t even have to try. I know people will get upset about this but i think those people are true comedians
I think most people are misinterpeting the science. Men tend to prioritize women's personalities like this: 1. Women who laugh at their jokes _and_ can make them laugh. 2. Women who laugh at their jokes _but can't_ make them laugh. 3. Women who _don't_ laugh at their jokes _but can_ make them laugh. 4. Women who _neither_ laugh at their jokes _nor_ are able to make them laugh.
I prefer woman with a sense of humor over those who don't seem to have one. Nikki is pretty funny, but I think what might intimidate guys is she is SMART and WITTY and so she could out argue most guys, and I don't need a study to tell me that most guys wouldn't like a girl like that. She probably jokes all the time about finding a guy because it deflects the fact she probably likes being single and able to hook up with whoever she wants, when she wants.
I actually really like it. I think some men are just insecure. Some women are pretty insecure, too. Part of the reason I married my wife is because of her sarcasm. Can't get enough of it, even if it goes over my head most of the time.
I'm the exception of the rule, I love funny women. I believe fun, good sense of humor is a sign of high levels of intelligence, I love intelligent women. I'm funny too, we laugh a lot with my wife.
i only lovvee funny women.... humor is the single one best quality in a women, a beautiful lady is a dime a dozen, but finding someone that makes me laugh and makes every day better, thats the dream baby
I personally want a woman who can talk more than I can, even if it means I have to give up certain comedic attributes. I don’t talk much, I listen more often so...
She nailed it when she said something about funny means yappie. I've knows plenty of people and im sure meany of you all have too, who always makes a pun or has a joke for something. They are annoying.
Nikki and Conan are both awesome funny interview. Conan's the best and Nikki is hilarious imma say it, for a female comedian. She won me over with her awesome roles in the Roasts particularly the Bruce Willis roast was good. Most good comics have their own style and she definitely has her own brand of comedy. I mean still some of the top comics that have me dying like a Dave Attell, Louis CK, Brian Reagan, Greg Giraldo, Billy Burr, Jeselnik, et cetera, I'd put Nikki Glaser up there with the funny comics. 👍

Dont know what men participated in that study or whom she has met but im one of the kind of men that love a woman who can make me laugh. It shows intelligence and creativity.
Because you’re not a pathetic egotist like insecure men are. The study is surely generalizing though, I would imagine.
I kind of feel that this is a west-only (or probably US-only) thing. In my country, both men and women appreciates a person who makes them laugh regardless of gender. But on the internet, I often see guys saying "women aren't funny, or can never be funny." Which is something that I've never heard anyone say ever in real life growing up.
onepunman What country are you in?
@@michellemichelle5202 I'm from the Philippines.
The Rock's "protein powders" 😅🤣 Now that's comedy 😅
My girlfriend is hysterical and I love it. 🤷🏻♂️
One of the few people who can get conan to break down in laughter
bill burr is the only person that can get conan to actually laugh
People in the comments got it all wrong.
You can like funny women, that was not what the article talked about.
If she doesn't find your jokes funny then you wont date her.. I think that was the point of the article she was talking about.
Looks > sense of humor.
Deny it or don't but sadly that is the truth when people choose partners.
Ora upvoting this comment but only cause I have a fetish for giving deers a german suplex
Ora well yeah if a girl doesn’t laugh at my jokes why would I see that as a person I could be with
"I didn't think so until I read an article." Wow

ohhh how sweet... they just want to virtue signal!
@@anti-emo4721 are you a girl?
@@Dmdm_dm nah.. I'm just 46 years old incel internet troll!
No it’s just that women are not funny.
Hell no, I don't.
Talks about her cackling laugh strategy: 1:30

😂
Nikki Glaser is a laugh riot, I could listen to her all day 🤣
Why is she so much funnier on talk shows than when she actually does her job.
She is awesome on her radio show and obviously talk shows
Standards.
Agreed
Watch her roasts. That's her best medium IMO
Maybe it's the difference in format, but i don't think you can say that her writing isn't great. To me she definitely has prepared material in this conversation. It's SOP for most comedians at talk shows.
Please before I die
Have *bill burr, Nikki and norm Macdonald* all at once
I hear her complaining about it but look it it this way: Laughing at Jokes is way easier than coming up with them. I'd gladly laugh all day long about Nikki Glasers jokes if it meant dating a gorgeous funny gal
As a straight male I'm kind of rarity because I personally like female comics better than male comics.
She Looks Great -- ✔
She's Smart -- ✔
She's Funny -- ✔
She gets home from work about the same time as I do -- Fail 😒
I'd guess that Nikki's problem is that as a popular comic she's on the road a zillion days a year. That's gotta be hard on relationships.
weak argument. plenty of other more successful comics are in a relationship
I find her extremely attractive though. Moreso because she’s hilarious
and who else do you find attractive
gomcoclamp a lot of other women? What kind of question is that?

All I got from this video is she's a good comedian and I enjoyed this video 😂!
But actually no, there is some truth to it but the reasoning is different. It's not that guys want women who laughs at their jokes. He wants women who enjoys his company.
Because from ages it's been built into us that it's always the guys job to please the women. So if a guy makes the girl laugh that means she chose him so he's happy.
So a reverse of those roles will be sort of wierd since it goes against centuries of conditioning.
she says all of that while im here all in love with her lmaooo
There’s a difference....genuinely funny women and women WHO THINK they’re funny lol. This girl is hilarious. Funniest chick I know lol
I laughed so hard at the protein powder comment
FWIW, my husband tells me all the time how much he loves how funny i am and that he can’t imagine being married to someone and not making each other laugh the way we do, so they’re definitely out there ❤️
She's going after the wrong kind of man. I know plenty of men who like witty women.
A good sense of humor was mandatory on my list for the right woman. My wife and I used to make up gag gifts for our friends in college. They all though I was the one who came up with everything cause she was too sweet. They didn’t know she came up with probably half the gags and some real good ones too.
4:04 WOAH! Where the hell did you come from, Andy!?
“But it does itch Conan” 😂
i feel like every time nikki comes to conan, is like a therapy session hahahaha and he loves her
I think it only becomes a problem for some guys when the girlfriend is funnier than him
Me and my girlfriend are both funny and I love it. I couldn't have a dull girl
Imagine Nikki with Nicole Byer.
That would be amazing.
Noelia721 You mean scissoring?

I can see how her theory might apply to quite a lot of guys but I tend to find being funny, very attractive in women, especially when they have a dry acerbic wit. I think I feel more comfortable around someone who can demonstrate their sense of humour rather than just laugh at my jokes (although a woman will ideally find me amusing as well), it shows they are their own person.
"this happens every time... aaand"
lol it does. I love clips with nikki on this show.
"Kevin Hart under one arm" #died
I can easily see The Rock grabbing Kevin Hart and running and think he will need them in the post Apocalyptic United States aka Jumanji 3
Well... At least I, love how much laughter my wife brings me everyday, she is one of the funniest persons I ever known, people have said in numerous ocasions to her 'Do you do stand up' or things like that. So, yeah, I think I like a girl who is fun.
"Yappy broad." I'm in love.
I know people will get upset about this but i think those people are true comedians
would you say Anna Faris is naturally funny?
Like who
I think most people are misinterpeting the science. Men tend to prioritize women's personalities like this:
Nothing you said is true
@@lonewolf3564 You sure argued your point.
@@CopyPasteWarrior why waste the effort on riddiculous people. I have better things to do with my time... Clearly you don't
I actually really like it. I think some men are just insecure. Some women are pretty insecure, too. Part of the reason I married my wife is because of her sarcasm. Can't get enough of it, even if it goes over my head most of the time.
Nikki Glaser is my favorite female comedian. She doesn’t even have that great a sense of humor. Its just honesty.
Cones and Glaser has great chemistry
I'm the exception of the rule, I love funny women. I believe fun, good sense of humor is a sign of high levels of intelligence, I love intelligent women. I'm funny too, we laugh a lot with my wife.
i only lovvee funny women.... humor is the single one best quality in a women, a beautiful lady is a dime a dozen, but finding someone that makes me laugh and makes every day better, thats the dream baby
I personally want a woman who can talk more than I can, even if it means I have to give up certain comedic attributes. I don’t talk much, I listen more often so...
Li thought like that before I got married
Meanwhile: Conan laughs hysterically
she deserved a WAY BIGGER laugh for "a funny woman is just a yappy broad"
I love funny women, they're not boring. 😍 It's also more comfortable.
This girl is genuinely funny, probably the funniest I've seen.
Damn, that's sad.
@@TheRumpelstinskin for sure
Dee from IASIP is funnier.
