Thank you Matt for what you’re doing. Always open to new ideas and assistance to keep this 60 something runner out there❤

The boston accomodates my bunion really well, wide just at the right place so not up in the toebox but like, where bunions are;)

I have the b12, and I love the forefoot bounce, but the heel doesn’t do much for me. Seems like the ES4 will be a better fit for me with a consistent feel throughout

Can you suggest a lacing technique to loosen up the forefoot? I love the ES4 but my pinky is a bit uncomfortable.

With Endorphin line i find i have to keep the laces on the bottom and and next eyelet loose then tighten from above them.

Just leave that area empty, no laces there.

B12 breaks in after approximately 40K and then it’s a really good shoe. I like to run in them. If you weight is over 80 kg, you automatically need more stability and little firmer cushion. The width of the toe box is really nice and fits my wider feet well. The only downside of b12 is the lacing. The laces are too short and i have to tighten and adjust them in the midfoot area and use a runner’s knot everytime. Everybody knows, that saucony‘s rubber compound isn’t that durable. B12 will last you much longer. Easily 800-1000K

Very good comparison on the ride. I'd disagree on the toe box fit, though, where the taper is far more extreme on the ES4. The ES4 grinds my pinkies into oblivion while the B12 allows me to splay. I wouldn't complain if the B12 weighed a little less and was a tad softer, but it's a far more enjoyable shoe for my feet!

The Boston 12 upper is garbage all sorts of hotspots and material is not stretchy at all

Agreed worst upper on any running shoes I have tried

Agree when putting it on, but over a 30+km long run it is comfortable with no hotspots or rubbing. Disappears on the foot.

Agreed , we all have different feet but Boston 12 upper works for my foot.

I have to disagree as the upper of B12 works perfectly for me, I’ve had no issues and I don’t even notice it on the runs. I like also like the extra room for my toes.

I added the elastic no-tie shoe laces. It has give in the laces, which eliminated any hot spots I might have had.

the boston 12 still beats saucony like a drum. the speed 4 is too mushy in the forefoot for my liking hence returned it.

Its very strange to run with those rockers, so unnatural. Love Altra Escalante 3 and Racer.

I have two pairs of B12, the first softened up quite early and is very comfortable now, but the second has remained very firm still after 60k. I wonder how come there is such a difference, the super comfortable first pair led me to buy another pair, which however does not feel the same at all (yet still).

@@MikaV.-cp5qg I’ve given up on mine 90 miles just not enjoyable for me ( felt just too firm and harsh )now in Mach 6 so so much better for me anyway.

@@MikaV.-cp5qg after I reached between 80 to 100km it became firm, the bounce disappeared. When I tried to run for another 10 to 15km it gets firm already hence I did not enjoy running it. Probably will wait on the 14th version of Boston 12 and 13, as I assume the upper and heel counter must get improved then the comfort of the midsole must be fixed instead of being firm why not make it a bit soft and fix the compression and decompression of the light strike pro 2. so if you ran at higher distance using Adidas boston for sure it can beat the saucony endorphin speed series.
