    I'm designing an office complex as a map for a horror game. And this video helped me to finally use the plans I've got as a layout so I don't have to go through Alt+Tab hell.

    The only main issue is with the second level. Limited maybe with iPad with no mouse control. getting the background to align up for the ground level to trace walls.

    Thanks for this! Can you delete the background? I'm assuming I could just change it to either a blank white image or watermark or similar, but could I just delete it if I wanted?

    Hi Tj, 1st of all I really Thank you so much for showing how to use SH3D. I have learned and started to draw my office plan, and I found difficulty to get a suitable cabinet to place over the nom straight wall. My wall size is 520mm horizontal wall then 45mm outward vertical wall and 640mm horizontal wall then inward of 45mm vertically then 920mm horizontal wall. Appreciate if u can show me. Thank you Sir!

    Can the snap increments be changed to match the drawing grid?

    ok i have 2 things i dont understand:
    1. I have a floor plan in pdf form (which I can just convert to png or jpeg or just screenshoot it to get a png file that's usable in this Sweet Home 3D app to import as a background image). The plan, though, simply says that the scale is "1:50", so that (I guess) means that each centimeter in the plan corresponds to 50cm in reality. BUT the problem is that there is no "ruler" anywhere on the plan... So how do I know how to draw a scaling line from point A to point B so that the SH3D app can import it in scale to the furniture pieces (whose dimensions I know) I want to then add to the plan in scale to the plan's real scale?? It doesnt make any sense...
    2. Then, after I've (somehow) set the image's scale, the SH3D app asks you to "set the origin point of the image in plan by clicking at its location" in the image... What is the "origin point"??

    • @TJFREE
      @TJFREE  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good questions. The origin point is just the point where 0, 0 will be. I usually just leave it at default, which is 0, 0, so the origin point will be in the top left. As for the scale, I usually try to find a door or window that I know the width of, and use that as a frame of reference for scale. You may have to import the background a few times to get it right. And yes, 1:50 mean 1 unit on the drawing will be 50 times larger in real life, so 1 inch is 50 inches, and 1 mm is 50 mm. Hope that helps! Good luck!
