Cuica is the South American Possum, but unlike the American opossum which plays Possum (or plays Dead). The Cuica Possum runs toward its attacker, making the sound of the Brazilian Cuica (friction drum) eee eee eee, which might work good for young predator. But running toward a Mom predator (with babies) may become a point ☠ of "Diminishing Returns ". lol 😂

The LP cuica is the real deal. I've played lesser versions, and they take way too much work to play, not as versatile as the LP.

No. You obviously haven't heard it played by a true master. George Clinton's legendary Parliament Funkadelic band used this instrument in the greatest Funk track of all time and it's EXQUISITE! (Not Just) Knee Deep (Full Version).
