It hilarious but true. 2012 I went to a local dealership 10mins from my house. At the time, I could only throw $1500 down and credit was about 550. Took 8hrs to approve me at 24% APR. Now, I got 742 score and about $7000 down. I couldn't believe how fast the approval was and how they tried to sell all the add on features when i was signing the paperwork. Totally different treatment in comparison.

So out of curiosity I asked what if I came in with a few thousand more. He told me it would bring my monthly payment from 1500 to 1200. Then my days 1800 to 1500. We laughed and said forget all that nonsense.

My first time i had walked into a dealer and said to the salesman "If you cant get me in that 2012 malibu or 2013 taurus on your lot then don't call me back." The dummy called me back saying he could not get the banks to approve me and wanted to sell me a 2003 mercedez benz that had like 150k miles. I told that man i wasnt interested and had told him clearly what i wanted. Them bills must have been coming or it was slow for him cuz he called back in 2 hours and said " I have the paperwork ready for that Malibu you wanted."
