Thank you, young man...Over the summer, I bought a 49cc chinese scooter in June..LOVE IT!. AND I love TH-cam videos like yours. I knew NOTHING about how scooters worked. Guess what? I've replaced the gas line w/ clear 3/16" and a reusable filter; I just changed the gear and 4 stroke oil; I replaced the speedo cable and the rear brake handle as I left it running in the driveway and it fell over on the left side. Easy to pick up though. I've adjusted the brakes and the throttle, too. NOW I'm confident enough to drive it short distance at night, but the headlamp is a weak LED. I like your idea. I'm 64 YO, and my bright red scooter is the talk of my neighborhood...best conversation piece, ever. Didn't know I was mechanically inclined. Best investments I've ever made was the socket wrench, allen wrench and electric screwdriver - Awesome. Thank you...I'll let you know how it works out.

question, would it still work if you just spliced it onto the existing wiring, so you still have the basic lights, and this would be an augmented highbeam set up??

Do you need to run a fuse or relay or is it fine to wire it like that

So how long did this last before it broke your plastic cover? I imagine it's going vibrate like crazy and break the cover. It could even drop and go in your front wheel.

Is this motorcycle specific? My scooter blew 2 led headlights because it's voltage spikes way above 12v and it's also ac. How did you wire it to work?
