The most respectable and respectful rendition of the National Anthem at a sporting event in eons. This, folks, is how it should be done - straight-forward, honest, and without any ornamentation or extra melody-obscuring crap. Bravo, Josh!
So many singers ruin the anthem by adding their extra "flair" to it and Josh kept it classic and nailed it. Then again with a voice like that it can't be too hard.

How so very sad. If every one of Americans, and for that manner the rest of the world, listened, really paid attention to the words and emotion that Josh Groban expressed in your national anthem, there then, should be peace.

Yes, this is a great version of The National ANthem! He has one of the best Baritone voices in many years and the quality of his voice is so good he does not have to try and put ornaments on the nations song. I have to sing THE NATIONAL ANTHEM for the Boston Red Sox next year and this is how I want to sing it. Thanks Josh!

He didn't feel it necessary to do four thousand riffs and scream during the climax of the song. He sang it, as meme321 says, the way it was meant to be sung. You can't compare it to Whitney because 1) she was lip syncing during that performance and 2) she's in a completely different league. It's not a fair comparison at all.
