- Back by popular request and after a few weeks of growing out a face full of hair! I'm back with Matthew Gallegos of Matt's Barber Parlor (previously The House of Shave Barber Parlor) in Phoenix, Arizona for a relaxing hot towel shave. As always Matt has a great selection of aftershaves to choose from!
Can you believe it has been over 7 years since we released our original wet shave video with Matt AKA America's Most Polite Barber! It's always so much fun visiting and catching up with our friend Matt! We were reminiscing with him about how different his shop looked back when we filmed our original videos in 2014.
At the barbershop you’ll find that Matt is always adding to his collection, rearranging things, and with two additional barbers his shop is now open 7 days a week. This summer, he will be celebrating the shop's 10 year anniversary 🙌🏼
As Matt's Barber Parlor has gotten very busy over the years, Matt feels very blessed. Matt states, “I have people from all over the state, all over the country, all over the world come and visit.”
Matt says, “I’ve been successful simply because I put my love and my heart into what I do."

Question, wasnt he supposed to go with the grain on the first shave, and then against and/or accross the grain on the second shave? Good customer service yes, nice tools yes, but he was all over the place with the shaving cream (Nose, ears). So he´s good, perfect mmm not so sure...

Absolutely love that place. As a gal I don't really need shaving services but I would enjoy just a couch on a corner to get some sleep, with the ambiant sounds as a lullaby. Thanks for the vid.
Sequels are usually never as good as the original. However, you've done it as this may be one of the best yet. You've perfectly captured Matt in his element and made another great video I'm sure I'll watch another few hundred times just like the originals. 👍🏻👍🏻

Not a barber but I bet there is a rule #1: NEVER EVER rest barber tools on your customer. especially not when these tools are razor sharp open blades and the customer can't see...

Matt is the definition of class when it comes to barbering. Always well presented in his style without seeming hipster or over the top. His barbering doesn’t rely on any gimmicks. He delivers quintessential barbering with great levels of customer care.
Additionally, what are the rules on shaving brushes in Nevada now as I know some states don’t allow them, and Matt used both the brush and lather machine at different points.
Did anyone else notice that at 3:12 Matt is missing in the mirror and then again at 3:58 it’s a totally different clip in the mirror? Harry, was this on purpose?

as a woman i wish there were barbershops like this for me… relaxing quiet space, one on one time with a dedicated polite professional who isn’t interested in small talk and what is essentially a facial treatment or massage as well as a hair cut! it really feels like the bars ear is taking care of the customer rather than rushing to complete appointments and get you out the door. i wouldn’t mind paying more for this kind of experience over a salon!
For real. I hate making small-talk at salons and although hair salons are traditionally Gossip Central, I just want to close my eyes and relax for 20 minutes.
