My friend who is also a convert went through sth similar, looked into other religions before Islam. And I am tearing up whenever I remember her telling me how lucky I am to be born into Islam, she wished she was too, because she wanted to experience how it is growing up Muslim. Reverts who seek Islam tend to be more knowledgeable than born Muslims, because they think they missed on many things. 😭 Allahuma barek lahum.

You have to ask yourself, when you demand proof of god’s existence, what are u actually expecting, what type of proof would be sufficient? I feel like the question “does god exist” has such an obvious answer that we overthink it. About the “disrespect”, i have to admit that a lot of muslims are ignorant and can appear to be very disrespectful, its something i wish we could change. But you must be able to differentiate between islam and muslims when you are looking into islam. Respect, honesty, kindness, peacefulness, all of these qualities are taught and emphasized more than anything else as qualities of a good believer. I am sorry that a lot of muslims do not represent their religion well but i would encourage you to look past it and focus on islam itself. I am originally from Senegal (ouest africa), what about you ?
@@yurir.1840 a muslim would tell you that the universe itself is tangible proof of God, and you could come to this conclusion using deduction, the intuitive knowledge argument, the fine tuning argument, causation argument, etc. We do not need to see god in order to believe he exists. A good example is gravity, we do not see gravity, but we see its effect, how an object falls down when it isn’t maintained, and we deduce that there is something we call gravity.
A lot of people get stuck in the false idea that islam hates gay people and gay people go to hell… truth is, being gay, or should i say, having homosexual feelings and inclining towards that is not a sin in itself as long as the action does not take place, just like having desires for premarital sex is not sinful unless the action takes place. A lot of people think that being gay is a result of the environment and people nowadays are influenced into that. I personally agree partially, today’s environment definitely increases the amount of people with these tendencies, however we can not be sure of this. This life is a test, Allah tests whom he wills. A person might be given these feelings to test their patience. Either way, Allah does not burden a soul more than it can handle. If Allah has tested people with this, then he is the All knowing, all wise, he knows that which we do not. “Accepting all people” obviously we know that there are limits to this, a person with pedophilic tendencies will not be accepted, same for people who practice incest or bestiality. So we know intuitively that the statement is not absolutely true. But how do we know the limit ? It is a completely subjective matter where most of the world would actually incline towards rejecting homosexuality as a practice. Either way, there is no way for you to know if it is a good practice or not. So for you to impose your bias onto an objective god given criteria in an attempt to refute it, you would need to prove that your criteria is better or more reliable, or that our criteria is deficient.
@@yurir.1840Also, the thing you said about islam and other religions being outdated or stuck in the past or whatever, you would need to give me examples or proofs for that, as you anticipated i disagree. The islamic narrative is the one that makes the most sense, the quran was obviously not revealed in a vaccum, there were events taking place during revelation and the religious teachings obviously reflect those events sometimes but islam is the only timeless religion. The quran and the prophets’s teachings (pbuh) are so broad that they can apply to any situation you could bring up today, which is why islam has never stopped gaining relevance ever since it was revealed, it is at an all time high in terms of conversions and overall popularity. It would not be if it was outdated. After all, Allah says that this is the last revelation and that it will be preserved until the day of judgment. Islam’s timelessness is not even comparable to any other religion. Im not sure if you’re familiar with the islamic narrative of other religions and the reason why they exist, i can explain it briefly if you want me to.

Why did Allah refuse Abu bakr and umar when they came to prophet Muhammad PBUH to marry prophets daughter. 3 why did Allah tell prophet Muhammad PBUH to marry lady fatima (as) to marry imam Ali. 4. And then from this marriage came all the imams and the children who sacrificed everything to save their grand fathers religion. 4 why is the imam. وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ لَا يَبْقَى مِنَ الْإِسْلَامِ إِلَّا اسْمُهُ وَلَا يَبْقَى مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ إِلَّا رَسْمُهُ مَسَاجِدُهُمْ عَامِرَةٌ وَهِيَ خَرَابٌ مِنَ الْهُدَى عُلَمَاؤُهُمْ شَرُّ مَنْ تَحْتَ أَدِيمِ السَّمَاءِ مِنْ عِنْدِهِمْ تَخْرُجُ الْفِتْنَةُ وَفِيهِمْ تَعُودُ» . رَوَاهُ الْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي شُعَبِ الْإِيمَان

Allah swt will test all of us, challenge us irrespective of our faiths throughout our lives. I am a born Muslim and i lost myself, i lost my way during my 20s and 30s, but something in me kept yearning to returnto islam. Syukur alhamdulillah with Allah's guidance, I found myself and i found Him. Now, i can truly say that i believe and Surrender to only Allah swt and prophet Muhammad is his messenger.

You know maybe if you were born Muslim you would not come to appreciate Islam the way you think of it now, because some people just get used to their blessings they take it for granted.
The most important thing is that Allah SWT guided you at last الحمدلله.
And I've noticed in many converts stories usually they experience the same thing which is they pray to the creator to guide them to whatever the truth is!!
