This footage is incredible simply from the fact it is a PRODUCTION motorcycle performing beyond what a GP bike could do in the '90s.. Also ridden by an absolute legend.

What's amazing is this looks like his first laps around the track on a bike. It looks like he knew where the track went and had some ideas of what he wanted to do on the bike from a track walk or driving a car around the track prior. Then, as he get his reference points down, he starts having fun. @10:03 It looks like he misjudged his closure rate just a bit and beautifully adjusted his sliding line just a little to make sure there was no issue. And he's not in full attack mode, just having fun!
Hi Troy, we meet on a Nissan GTR / Frank S. event in Le Mans some years ago and I keep you in good memory, your car driving skills and the ones in the late evening being a fantastic host around a beer or 2,3,...But what I love most, is watching you ride the bike... it is simply unreal how you slide these things around the circuit... just crazy. Stay well and in one piece and I wish you all the best in your new endeavor. PS: By the way, I am also meanwhile a friend one of your main mechanics during your SuberBike Days, Thomas F.... it is funny how the circles close. Next time you come and visit him we can touch base again, Cheers Fernand

Would be sweet to see the throttle application as well. Notice the break application in the dash, but missing the throttle.
You can hear it of course. But still nice to see how the throttle is modulated.
Looks like he is trail braking into the the turning point and then straight to throttle...(?).

It was not his first time there. Just because Troy rides the track in a different way than most riders does not mean he has limited track knowledge. He might have a different line choice though.

I honestly find it disturbing just how slow some guys are on track haha. I ride more lean through every intersection on an old bandit with sport-touring tires than those guys on track with sport tires and modern sports bikes...
We all have different learning curves. Besides everybody is there to learn and practice, you don't become skilled without any practice ;)
