I feel like the people who have the worst time in Disney World do zero research and don't know any of the tips and tricks that could be it's own college course. Knowledge is power in Disney World.
Disney vacation is fun but it is not relaxing

@@beachbumlife it can be if you make it relaxing. There are countless ways to make it relaxing. L But also, you don’t go to any theme parks/amusement parks for relaxation lol

I was nervous about using it and annoyed that I was going to have to spend time booking our Lightning Lanes in the parks, but I ended up loving it. I just set an alarm on my phone for every two hours, and when it was time to book a new Lighting Lane it was usually while we were waiting to get on a ride, so it was no big deal and we ended up skipping way more lines than we ever did with FastPass+.
As a BIG Disney fan, who is only able to take their family to WDW once every year or two, I’m a big supporter of Genie +. Once you’ve used it once, it’s so simple after. We booked every ride & rode stand by for the filler attractions. I was not on my phone all day. The price of it stinks but I will still pay it for my family to be able to do all that we want to do with no waiting in lines. Oh and ALWAYS mobile order your food!!!
I can't wait to finally get my family to Orlando. I've maxxed out the credit card but it don't matter now, we're goin. I'm bringing my wife and four kids for the trip of their lives. I'm watching your videos in preparation for our dreams to come true, we've drivin down from Tennessee. Thanks.

Haha thanks for this video ! Me and my son (5th bday) went to Disney last week for a week and were able to do 13+ attractions with LL at Magic Kingdom in one day. 🎉🎉 (I used this video to strategize)
As soon as we used one we booked a next and made sure to book accordingly. We also tried to make sure we did consecutive rides in the same part of the park.
What was good if rides weren’t in the same area was that 1 hour window you get to redeem your lanes.
I think because we stayed at the hotel it didn’t matter to book at 7 we made sure to buy before 9 am. Went to the parks around 11/12 each day and got to do almost everything rides, shows, parades, fireworks etc

Friend and I used it today at Magic Kingdom. Booked 10 attractions and didn’t need it for a lot of other stuff. I realize crowd levels are low and I’m sure that played a part in it. Today was only my 2nd time using and I would have to give a thumbs up. I think watching tip videos on TH-cam did help.
I just gotta say, your vocal pacing is perfect to MY ears. One of the few channels I don’t need to set 1.5x to.
I was so intimidated by using Genie+ for the first time ever this past spring break but I absolutely fell in love with it after getting the hang of it. It can be pricey but for me personally, it was worth every penny!
I am also getting ready to use it and I'm super nervous...do you have any tips or tricks for 1st time?
@@ccoorraaa2421 It basically all comes down to preference really. If you have the early entry option, I would definitely recommend go for the rides that you are most wanting to do first without booking a lightning lane and use the standby for those. I will say I did cheat by purchasing ILL for rides like Tron and Seven Dwarfs and just booked rides continuously in Genie+ after we used one. I didn't have to use the 120 min cooldown period because I was just booking whatever I could get closest to the time that we were at in the time of day. Can't say that will work for your visit but it worked for us. It took me about half the day to get the gist of using Genie+ but once I got use to it, it became my best friend because it allowed us to enjoy other things if we couldn't get something specific. Basically it eliminated our fear of wasting time. Hope this answer helped. After you try to get a Tron Virtual Queue, Get a Peter Pan or Jungle Cruise LL as your first one in the morning. And so long as you are consistent every couple hours with booking the next ones the rest fall into place pretty well and use the extra morning hours to hit low hitters and you will be fine. I love Genie Plus, it makes the day pass much easier for me, I find time for breaks for ambience, snacks, and to see shows.

One thing to keep in mind: if you are in a wheelchair but can still ride rides, you get a free genie+ version for free! I discovered this by accident when I injured myself right before a Disney trip (foot injury, I could hobble/hop but not really walk) and when I rented the wheelchair they informed me I got the disability version of lighting lanes for free. Works about the same--go to a ride, get a call-back time, can only do one at a time; or you go in a much shorter disability lane.
I do NOT recommend faking this or injuring yourself deliberately, but for those who can take advantage, hey, makes a sucky situation better ya?
Have just come back from our first ever trip to WDW. I was really concerned I wouldn't understand the whole genie plus but we had the greatest time. I really didn't feel like we were on the phone all the time. It was fun really to plan the day using ILL, genie, standby and rope drop. We did all the rides we wanted to, didn't feel rushed and felt quite chill really. Had time to take it all in and really enjoy....I can't help but feel we might be back 😁

you can add lighting lanes when you are in the que of your first ride
i just came back from WDW trip yesterday. Everything was great but there were too many people that would just stop as soon as they tap in to look at their phone. Completely oblivious to their surroundings. I mean many times they were getting frustrated that they cant book the next one, not realizing they have to tap in again at a 2nd point.
but yeah, genie + was great at magic kingdom.

I wish the date based no park tickets was in effect already. Going next week and looks like rain every day. Would be nice to look at weather day of and decide where to go then. Florida weather is so unpredictable it's going to suck if I'm outside and it's raining all the day.
I miss the free fast passes that Disney used to have.I know that this system is never coming back. At least there is something to lesson the time for standing in line.
It’s not coming back because Disney now just caters to elitists … and dumb consumers who just pay for something they are entitled to for free with their ticket.
I have question when you use Genie + for fireworks, where is the viewing spot? Is it good? Is this one that fills up early?
Astro orbiter - I’ve been in the regular line when people ask about a lightning lane, and the cast members honor it and they just wait around the side of the elevator. Maybe it’s a “secret” lightning lane? Wonder how they book it lol
This is an outrageous system. No one should have to do homework to enjoy a day at the parks. This is vey unfair to anyone who isn’t a Disney fanatic familiar with these systems, such as someone traveling internationally who doesn’t speak English. There’s 4/5 different types of lines with Genie+, lightning lanes, virtual queues, standby, and single rider, it’s maddening.

What is virtual queue? Is Tron a virtual queue and does that stop any genie lightning lane?
Part of my group is staying off property and the other part in a resort. Can I try to get a boarding pass for Tron for all of us at 7am since we’re in a resort, even though the other half aren’t?

If you were going to Mickey’s not so scary, would it be worth buying genie plus for Magic Kingdom that day so that you can stack lightning lanes for 4 o’clock to 7 o’clock?

I don't think they have lightening lanes open during special events. At least it wasn't in the past.
At this point I'd pay the Genie+ price for the old Fastpass+. Maybe throw in an extra pre-booking as an on-site hotel perk?

Yes you can - I bought genie plus before my 8am flight , and stacked LLs until I got to the park at 3pm . Arrived at the hotel at 12 , room was ready at 2. Had 4 LLs waiting for us at the park
As long as you have a park pass reservation, you can start booking at 7 am EST whether you’re on property or half way across the country waiting at the airport.
Just came back from Disney three weeks ago. Did not have to use Genie + at all. Longest wait was 40 minutes and that was for Ratatouille and Rise of the Resistance. Went on Flight of Passage (30 minute ) wait.
This is good to hear! When I went last , wait times we up to 3 hours for FoP. But it was much newer then.
I wish they would bring fastpass back. This is confusing.
Even the "improved" Genie + is still terrible and you will need your phone in hand! :(
Question: How does this work for groups? If Use A has several tickets linked to their account does LL apply to everyone? Or does everyone need to book their own? Will they be able to get the same times?

It depends on how enjoyable you find standing in line in 100 degree heat with 80% humidity. The crowds *may* be lower, but the weather will be at its highest intensity level and that isn't a small thing.
Does Shades of Green have perks equal to a Disney hotel, or more on a "good neighbor" perk? Granted the last time I went was over a decade ago with my family, but I think SoG had the Extra Magic Hours.

You pay enough (ie: way too much) for the parks. Fastpasses used to be free. They would still be free if dumb consumers didn’t pay for things they shouldn’t. If they saw that no one paid for this they would do away with it. Stop price gauging babies & families Disney.
