Haven is a fantastic location for early game resources in Everdell
It is. Especially if you’re the last player with the most cards off the bat!
So it's just Everdell in the end. What's the point of another Everdell?
Valid question that the creators should answer. That being said, this game is still fun and different enough to enjoy. I hope the other games they have planned for the “Edge of the Map” series are VERY different and not more of the same. Here’s to hoping 🤞🏻
What's the point of another Gloomhaven, another Nemesis, another Clank, another Great Wester Trail, another Pandemic, another Sleeping Gods, another Spirit Island, another Ticket to Ride, another Zombicide, another The Crew, another Imperial Settlers etc.
Board games are all about iteration. You take an existing game and change up some things to possibly make it better, more streamlined and a bit different without completely changing the core gameplay. That's the point. This is not supposed to be a completely different game but one that uses the same mechanics while adding *some* unique twists and tweaks some issues with the original game.
