    You missed the fact that you have to give a certain class to the collection list which made me lose some time trying to find out what's wrong, however, a great tutorial and a very easy method to add filters. Keep up the good work!

      @@michaelcignarale992 Hi, i had the same issue and by reading this comment i understood where to search the error. At 9:45 , he tell us to add the collection name "cms list class" field. This where you have to pay attention and not bluntly copy "collection-list" but you will have to type in the name of your collection list. ( it has not functioned the first time i did it so a renamed my collection list without Caps and with "-' instead of space and it worked after that)

    Hi, thank you for the fantastic work. Just got started with Finsweet, implementing this filter. When I press the button multiple times, the result seems to be inconsistent. I am wondering if you might know what I did wrong? Thank you again!

    Thanks. Can the filter options be automatically setup dynamically from a CMS? Eg. Blog Author is a Collection List, Blog Posts filtering by Blog Author. The client can edit CMS Authors and assign Authors to Blog Post and they automatically appear and filter, or do I have to manually edit?

    Ok AMAZING I love this tool!! I just got it implemented but noticed that the .filter-active state doesn't remove formatting on mobile (like the filter button is still filled in even when clicked again). This is the case on your guys' site as well. Any ideas? Thanks again!

    How can I get back to the default state. For example: I have a list of products. Buttons are saying: All, Olive Oil, Kitchen Tools, etc. Filters are working fine. But how can I show all products when the user will tap on 'All' button?

    • @AndresMenard
      @AndresMenard 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You must add in the button's attribute filter-by = *

    how do I make my filter options work together as "and" rather "or". so if I select two options, it only shows content with both options alone

    Is it possible to get a unique URL for each filter? So I can share an URL that would go into a blog with some filters already applied?

    • @Finsweet
      @Finsweet  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is possible, but with our new Finsweet Attribute Filter solution which is much more powerful.
      Our Webflow CMS library is now outdated.
      Finsweet attributes is replacing our whole CMS library.

    I watched this series only to find out it’s no longer supported. Which is it? Still usable or not or do we have to learn attributes now? If this is no longer supported, shouldn’t this be taken down? Just asking. Maybe just add a caveat that this is no longer the way to go?

    Is it possible to preview and test the filters without publishing?

    • @Finsweet
      @Finsweet  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, you must publish the site to test the code. You can always test it on the .webflow.io staging domain.

    You guys REALLY need to put out updated videos on these for the attribute solutions. The only video I could find for the attribute based filter system was almost 90 minutes long, and goes over everything. I just need a simple filter solution. I read through the documentation several times and could not get it to work, so I'm back here to utilize the old system that I know works and has a decent tutorial. I'm sure I just missed something, but I've already spent more time on this than I would have had I just come here first.
    That being said, I love some of the attribute based solutions - The CMS slider is so much easier to implement now, especially if you have multiple on one page!

    Hey, thanks for your great work!
    I have a question: does this method will also work if the field I would like to base the filter on is a muti reference field?
    E.g: I have a products CMS and a categories CMS, in the products I have a multi-reference field that linked to the categories CMS

      Is a dynamically created filter list from a multi-reference field even possible with the out of the box script? Or is it a paid modification?

    This shit is so buggy. It works maybe 50% of the time. Not ready for full launch yet unless I'm doing something wrong which I doubt. I don't understand why everyone says it's so easy but it literally does NOT work for me half the time.
