Have a similar model and I love it. I have a regular food saver and it has been retired to the shelf. I have made back the cost in bags in a year. For preps, I like to dry meat and seal it in Mylar bags, the machine seal time can be regulated to better seal different kinds of bags. It has been completely reliable in sealing the Mylar.
Thanks for the input jamesnelson! I am having a lot of fun with this machine, and it is coming in handy as you suggested, to keep things fresh. Thanks for the comment!
The coiled-up metal strip that you showed is a replacement sealer strip. I just bought the DZ-260C direct from Vevor and love it! Thanks for the demos!
Additional comment, when I buy meat in bulk, I cut it into usable pieces and seal each piece into bags. Sealed In bags the meat keeps in the fridge about twice as long as in it's original packaging. This is another source of money savings.
Fabulous info... again as we always go back to you to check on how to use our Vevor Chamber. One thing we do that you do not do is to fold over the top of the bag when pouring in soup or other messy ingredients....This keeps the food from making a mess of the edge of the bag. Once filled we undo the fold... Just thought I would share this info. Love our machine and use it quite a bit.
I haven’t read all of the previous comments, but you should always refrigerate hot liquids prior to vacuum sealing. Hot liquids will boil in a vacuum. I make my own chicken stock, and I absolutely must refrigerate overnight before I can vacuum seal it.
I'd use caution vacuuming closed containers like the spice jar. If the container was sealed at less vacuum than the chamber, then the force is outward. -- I'm surprised the spice container didn't pop (might not be truly sealed). Another tip is to fill the chamber's unused space with something nonporous. It'll vacuum down more quickly (or get deeper vac for a given time). I've been playing with the bigger brother and notice an improvement when more chamber volume is consumed by objects. I look forward to using it some more, they are fun!
Good morning, Without a doubt you have the best information regarding our new Vevor Chamber... We have two questions. We have the DZ 260A and when we opened the top lid there was a metal panel inside... I do not see that in you demo. And, no where in any of the instructions. We have not used our machine yet as it came to us completely covered in oil. The oil container must have leaked as there is no oil left in it. We are in communication (6 days now) trying to get a new machine... And, getting the run around. Can not wait to use this. I also have another question that you may or may not be able to answer. Can we store freeze dried green drink powder once sealed in our freezer. Thank you, Lisa
The metal platform is just that, to raise items you are sealing so that the bag lays flat across the heat strip. It's removable and she already had is removed when she did her video and didn't mention it.
You have to run at least a little vacuum time to get the vacuum to push the sealing bar up. It uses the change in pressure to move the bar. However, you can probably get away with a very short time...10 seconds??? Less?? A little more??
Nice to see different products sealed, have you tried the potato chips again? I am looking for a vacuum sealer that can handle delicate products like potato chips and thin graham crackers. Is this machine suitable for that?
I have a similar model to this and i can set it to a minimum of about a six second vacuum time for it to seal properly. Even at that setting i think it would crush potato chips, and that's with only a slight vacuum on the bag, not much more air than you can remove by hand.
The same way that you do everything else with this machine. That is the beauty of it. It sucks out all the air to the whole chamber, seals the bag, and then releases air back in, but the bag is already sealed. That is what makes vacuum chambers better then just sealers.
If the oil becomes cloudy even slightly.. it is taking on moisture because oil is hydroscopic ..change the oil or the vacuum will not be as strong. Btw hydroscopic means that water or moisture will be absorbed.. if you vacuum products with high moisture the oil will go south pretty fast
Your video is the best for information. I subscribed after seeing your vid. By the way, do you know if I can use 8 mil Mylar bags to seal in this vacuum chamber sealer? Thank you! Keep up your journey!
Will something happen to the marshmallows if I put them in a mason jar, other than staying fresher? I'll try, if I can get my hands on some! Thanks for the comment pawlet!
What’s actually happening in front of your eyes is it pulls a vacuum on the chamber and whatever you put inside, removing all the air and then sealing the bag and when the machine opens atmospheric pressure the weight of all of the air that’s on the planet stacked all the way up as high as exist inside our atmosphere that weight is 14 point I think it’s 75 pounds per square inch which is what’s pressing in on your body since you were born and essentially that’s what’s holding your insides inside for that atmosphere pressure your insides would come outside and 30 inches of mercury a vacuum is unattainable. The closest we can get is 29.92😃😃 Just a little something to make your hair hurt ❤️🔥❤️🔥🇺🇸
This is an Excellent Review !! U Make us laugh. Dehydrated Health Food. Fresh Home made soup. ALL these health foods sealed so nice. THEN U SEAL POISON Potato Chips !! And they come out like garbage which is what they ARE !!! Hallelujah !! U should have showed sealing Roasted Walnuts and Almonds and Hazel Nuts !!
I have this exact model and it showed up with the back bottom corner smashed. I straightened it out but the pump isn't running. customer service takes a day to respond.
Your video has more information than any other videos I've seen on chamber vac's.Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much for identifying that piece curtdunlap!

I agree! So far...so good! Thanks for the feedback.

17:27 there is a notch on the bag by your thumb that is there so you can tear the top of the bag away instead of using scissors.

I just learned today, do not seal warm broth. What a mess.
Always fold over the top of the bag when filling. If you get any sauce or oil on the edge the seal might not hold.

Thanks gth042, its been a fun learning experience! And my physics is rusty, but what you say sounds right. Thanks for the comment and advice!
Can I use a one gallon maylar bag?
Thank you.
This is really well done review - thank you!
Have you ever tried to seal larger products outside the chamber? Id be very interested to learn if that works at all or not
We have machines to package larger products
Exc review and thanks for doing that. Can you make a video to show seal larger products outside the chamber please? Thanks
I tried pint mason jars and both broke. have been using a different brand with no issues and don't understand what's causing the jars to break.
Is there a lot of difference in how much air is left in de bag with a 300 vacuum chamber and a 2500 one ?
Is it just me or do your standard gallon freezer bags don’t seem to prevent freezer burn like they used to???
excellent review, thank you for taking the time to make it!

How do you create the very first seal on an open empty bag ?
I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure you need the special bags that only have one opening.
@@caseym-zx1su Well we figured it out since i asked this question. There is a setting for making the first seal that we were not aware of.
So you can make bags from rolls. So what button do you use? Is it the seal only button?
I just set mine on 8 seconds and run it through a cycle.

Nice video. How is the machine holding up so far?
Excellent tutorial. Thank you !
Perfect for processing venison and elk for freezer!
19$ for oil. Does that oil have gold dust in it ?
Nice to see different products sealed, have you tried the potato chips again? I am looking for a vacuum sealer that can handle delicate products like potato chips and thin graham crackers. Is this machine suitable for that?
If you want to vacuum seal things that are brittle like chips or crackers. Put them in a vacuum container not a bag.
I have a similar model to this and i can set it to a minimum of about a six second vacuum time for it to seal properly.
Even at that setting i think it would crush potato chips, and that's with only a slight vacuum on the bag, not much more air than you can remove by hand.
How I can vacuum Flour / Powder
Put flour in the paper lunch bag, tape it, and then place inside the vacuum seal bag. It is same for sugar, salt, and other type of powder.
The same way that you do everything else with this machine. That is the beauty of it. It sucks out all the air to the whole chamber, seals the bag, and then releases air back in, but the bag is already sealed. That is what makes vacuum chambers better then just sealers.
Is it easy to marinade chicken or steak prior to sealing vs a normal sealing unit like the nesco?
Thanks for such detailed informative video, respect & love from India

Btw.. love your videos.
Thanks patrickking8241 for the advice....I learn something new every day!
BTW, I appreciate that!
Hygroscopic, I've made that mistake a lot. lol
i just got mine today.. i have to put everything to 45 seconds just to get a solid vacuum.. is that normal to anyone out there??
5:16 these are replacement electrical fuses.
will it accomadate and seal a packer brisket ?
We are able to offer machines for packing brisket
Are there replacement seal bars available for purchase?
I come with a replacement strip plus replacements can be found on Amazon or Ebay, it's a standard heating strip found on commercial machines.
Your video is the best for information. I subscribed after seeing your vid. By the way, do you know if I can use 8 mil Mylar bags to seal in this vacuum chamber sealer? Thank you! Keep up your journey!
Very nice demo.
Can you try marshmallows in a mason jar?
This was a lot of fun to watch. I always enjoy your experiments. ❤
Will something happen to the marshmallows if I put them in a mason jar, other than staying fresher? I'll try, if I can get my hands on some! Thanks for the comment pawlet!
They will expand to completely full the jar.
Pretty trick unit, babe. How’s the machine holding up so far?
We can provide packaging machines that run well
Nice review. Well done.
Nicely done video! BTW, “possing the in speation”?
That’s Chinese for “passing the inspection”. 😂
and she said..."O...K.."... really cute woman
you can get Ajika at stores that sell Russian food. It usually comes as a paste kind of like a hot sauce. Very good (:
the little glass tube things are fuses
ahh, that makes sense....thank you Larkz!
This video was great! But, inquiring minds would like to know just how many seconds it takes to seal potato chips. I'm totally vested in this!😊
I bet 10 seconds. 25 seconds is too long. Cookies took 10 seconds but 20 seconds didn't crushed them.
tengo una de esas y me esta botando el aceite por la parte de abajo quien me pede ayudar por favor

Indeed! Thanks Mike!

Put the potato chips in a jar.
325$ i wish😂😂 its 960$ here😢
If you can’t reuse those bags you aren’t saving anything on bags. You are saving on food lasting longer
Evacuate!
