    Very helpful. I just bought a set for my elderly mom. She is constantly missing visitors at the door due to how far in the back of the house her room is. These have been helpful so far!

  • @rachelle_banks

    I saw these on Amazon and then I found this video on TH-cam. Thank you for making it. I'm considering getting a set for my mom to use because she pretty much yells through a few walls when she's in her office space and no one can ever hear her ask "who is it?"
    The only thing is I would like for there to be a way for her to initiate the intercom to the outdoor unit but that's okay.
    Thanks again! I hope these are still working great for you and I hope you and your family are well. :-)

      You can get just the inside units and they would fit your application much better. They would act as a very simple walkie talkie. Or, get an indoor/outdoor set and a few indoor ones. That way you can put the outdoor one as a doorbell as well and answer it with any of the indoor ones!

    Great detailed video. Thank you. I'll probably go with this one unless I can find one that has an open mic so the visitor doesn't have to push a button to talk. Any ideas?

    • @CallMeColtLLC
      @CallMeColtLLC  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, I only have used this one. Battery would last only a day or so with an open microphone as well as it being extremely annoying and keeping the rest of the intercom system from being able to be used. You won't find one that will do that. It would be like a radio constantly being transmitting.

    Excellent information. Because of your video I bought 3 outdoor and 3 indoor. I understand that the indoor units can communicate to each other like walkie talkie. My question is can you initiate a conversation with the outdoor unit from the indoor unit if the person outside does not push the bell or the talk button ? Thanking you in advance.

    • @CallMeColtLLC
      @CallMeColtLLC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, the outdoor unit stays "asleep" until someone presses the bell or talk button. Only after that the indoor units can talk to the outdoor units. We're very happy with them so far!

      Aww I’m not happy about that. I bought them thinking I can start the conversation without a delivery person pressing it first. They tend to leave the packages if I see them coming I was hoping I can advise them to take the package to my side door.

    • @CallMeColtLLC
      @CallMeColtLLC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Ki-lk5wn While it would be nice to do that, it would be unreasonable to expect the battery to last more than a few days at a time if this were the case. Also, if you were using the intercom as we do for other purposes, people would be hearing all your conversations. :)

    Hi there! I have a few questions, how did you stick it on outside? Do you screw it on or can you use one of those command strips? How is the outdoor one charged? Is it Bluetooth? How does it connect to the other intercoms?
    Thank you in advance

    • @CallMeColtLLC
      @CallMeColtLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I used wood screws. Command strips will not hold up outdoors. These will need to be changed out every few months with the batteries on the indoor units so they can be charged. Takes about 5 minuets. They do not charge otherwise & will eventually die. They stay connected via radio waves. In a sense, they're never connected, rather, they communicate with each other when called upon.

  • @narcischism473
    @narcischism473 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video, but I'm a little confused. On the outdoor intercom, you said "I wish it gave feedback," but you were talking back and forth on it...?

    • @CallMeColtLLC
      @CallMeColtLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I meant when you hit the ringer... for example, the ringer also is on the outdoor unit. When you press it, nothing happens & you're unsure if it actually has sent the ring until someone talks back.

    • @katgoldenfinch
      @katgoldenfinch 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! Pressing the power button on the inside unit will call to the other inside units, but of course it will not call to the outside unit as it is in sleeping mode :-)

      @@katgoldenfinch I am planning to keep the inside unit beside me all the time. That's why I would prefer to hear a short (shorter than 1 second) and low-volume tone when another team member wants to talk to me. Is it possible to set up such a short and quiet tone? Alternatively, is it possible to start a conversation without that tone at all, instead, just by starting to talk?

    • @katgoldenfinch
      @katgoldenfinch ปีที่แล้ว

      @8K HDR Soothing Relaxation the tone that sounds when you press the power button is short in duration (about 2 seconds long) and the volume is subjective of course, but I the lowest volume it is still a little bit loud in my opinion.... yes, with the indoor units, you can press the "talk" button and begin taking to other units, no need to press the power button and sound the tone (this is how we use them daily, by pressing talk and not utilizing the tone) 😊

    I had to return mine soon as I received it. It is only one way communication which means, you cannot communicate from indoor to outdoor. The outdoor automatically goes to sleep mode after 25 seconds , so if someone is in front of your door, you cannot say hello from indoor, you have to wait until someone press talk from outdoor which sucks balls. anyways, there is another device which is 2 way intercom, so if you see someone outside, you just press talk from indoor and dont need to hold the button, you can speak to them and they to you without holding buttoin. I have a wireless doorbell with no camera and its loud, a wired camera on my front door. so this Wuloo is useless for me
