Buses for Panaji is available at Hubli new bus stand and the bus I took departed Hubli at 9:15 AM. It was NWKRTC Sarige, chassis by Ashok Leyland BSIV and coach by KMS.
The first stop after Hubli was Dharwad. It pulled over for about 10mins and continued the journey.
You can see beautiful view of the Chorla ghat section and also Karnataka - Goa border.

I remember my first travel on this route about 40 years back; I had to travel the entire journey on standing only. At one point in the ghat section, driver stopped the bus for a minute; conductor asked the passengers to look at the side of the bus, without arising from their seats - deep valley running to hundreds of meters down. Driver cautiously crossed that point. At the entrance of Goa, bus had to cross the bailey bridge on the Mandovi River. Conductor asked the passengers to get down from the bus and alight at the other end of the bridge. Being the first time, I was travelling, I did not know the procedure then and sat silently. Then, some of the passengers explained me in detail. Now also, I remember that memorable journey. Now, all would have changed.

Why is this bus taking longer route. I think it took Hubli-Dwd - Alnavar- Khanapur - Jamboti - kankumbi - Chorla ghat to reach Goa. Is Anmod ghat closed....
Different buses are allotted different routes based on season and passengers.
Anmod ghat is in worse condition,,,and roadwork stopped for no reason,, i think karnataka gov is sleeping or the official not getting the bribe,,, shame man🙏

The roads are worst after Dharwad till molem. Also the Ballari to Hubli highway was worst. The best route to Goa is karwar-goa. That depends on you from where you are planning.

O used to travel Chorla ghat in 2004-2009.. it was great adventure... there were no one on road or no houses for many km... and road karnataka side was not good... that used to be great adventure...lush forest...

Not sure about timings, I believe there is bus for every one hour
