CAMP HALE to LAKEVIEW GUNNISON CG CO - Big Coach Ride-Along & Big Passes - Ep18 2023 Summer Trip

In this Big Coach Ride-Along, we depart Camp Hale Memorial for Lakeview Gunnison campground, both in the Colorado High Country. Yes, we passed another Wanderlodge! Along the way we'll travel through and over some of the highest terrain in Colorado including: 10,424' Tennessee & 11,312' Monarch Passes, as well as a drive down the Main Street of one of the highest towns in North America - 10,151' Leadville Colorado. This was our longest driving day and the scenery varied from those mountain passes along rushing mountain rivers to sweeping vistas of "Fourteener" mountain peaks. There was a quick stop at and cruise through the parking lot of a Super Walmart in Salida CO and finally we pull into our next campground for a two-week stay with an awesome mountain lake view right out the dining room window. Stay tuned for the upcoming Jeeping videos that includes an up and over Tin Cup Pass challenge, the amazing mountain top vista from American Flag Mountain AND an especially difficult run for Silver and as she had to SWIM along a lake shore and more than one mountain stream. It was a great two weeks!
Every year we take our 2004 Bluebird Wanderlodge M380 motorhome on an all-summer excursion to escape the brutal heat of Texas and the Desert Southwest. Besides the big rig motorcoach Ride Along's between our campground locations, you’ll also find some fun & often challenging Jeep tours in our well equipped 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.
