Hopefully it will be your last order with them. It would b nice if she included all the stats regarding the heavy chemicals, lead, and phthalates found in ridiculous amounts in Shein clothing. Or talk about their next level, modern-day slavery factories. Or talk about their disastrous environmental impact. Or the super cheap quality of their clothes. Or the small companies and designers they steal designs from.
Clothes so inexpensive don't happen magically. It happens with the help of everything listed above. Shein makes BILLIONS every year, yet they can't even pay their workers living wages. They are the worst of fast fashion.

All these possibilities of clothes are the result of their poor ethics. Great concept, but honestly, I found the video hard to watch because the commentary was all over the place. Not to be critical, but it would be helpful if both pieces were explained when you were showing a look- I liked a green top you showed but had to hunt for it as it wasn't discussed until much later.
This is a great video of someone AWARE of their body and shopping online with a brain. I feel like most who shop online is not body aware or know their style. I shopped on Shein recently a lot, and the bikinis and shirts I got all look fabulous and fit amazing, both for myself and mom. They also arrived pretty quick (few days) and they take returns and exchanges no problem.
I'm pretty sure all these videos of fail outfits are just dumb people shopping online.

I have only recently gotten into shopping at SHEIN, but I have to say I have had some really good luck with shoes. Love the espadrilles that you got. I might get those too. I love the shoes over clothing at SHEIN for sure.

I am challenging shein for design infringments. They have offerd out of court settlement its not enough to cover the licence fees. I'm an independent designer and I have stopped designing because it's that bad. I have lots of evidence and I want to share it with you with a view to bringing some content on social media. Shein has written to say the reserve their rights in regards to what I say on social media. Everything that I say is a matter of. Please let me know if you would be interested in my story that has been ongoing since 2019 when I found the first offending design selling from shein. Shein are vontinuing to sell the drsign vecause i wont accept their low offer to continue using my designs.
I am scared of buying chinese stuff since I don't know if you can trust that the fabrics are non toxic. 🤔 Here in the EU we have many safety rules and laws that don't exist in China.

Shein is such a bad company
shein clothing is ACTUALLY toxic and also unethical, please please educate yourself before shopping there. Workers work 72 hours a week with one off day A MONTH
If you knew of most brands ethical standards you d be walking naked right now unless you have either enough money to go with brands that uses only local manufacturers or you create your own clothes.
And if they don’t work ( sorry of course about 72 hours ) they probably be starving or even die.. never thought about it?
It's definitely toxic. The smell of stuff when it arrives is just terrible. I ordered a denim skirt and it took 4 washes for the smell to come out. I don't think I'll be ordering anything else from there.
If your going to order from anywhere else like zara, topshop, next, h&m most high street brands you are going to come up against the same treatment of workers unfortunately.
Obviously there is an effort from these brands and the west to expose these practices in shien, as they should be. But is there's an ethical issue then they als have to keep on reporting on the other western brands that have the exact same ethics.
Our phones and laptops have something called cobalt that is mined by children.
@@lauramay5361 sure,there are a lot of problems and unethical brands , but making one shein (or other) haul after another is just sad. I know that Overconsumption is a huge problem of this age, but it would be so refreshing to see bigger influencers talking more about that. Not just making big hauls with more clothing one could ever need
