I try to process my thoughts as I watch this video,
I mostly feel happy and I just pray...
that the past doesn't get in the way of my happiness...
and that all my stresses don't overwhelm me...
    and... there's a person I want...
I want them to want me, just as I am.
    I pray for true love.

As I've been studying this for a while and always learning, I find that SO many of these videos and online information leave out a ton of information that would help you do this correctly, and have the benefits it should produce. Not all mudras are placed on the knees, some are palms up, some down, seated positions types, some have chants with them...etc. If not done correctly, you can have an opposite effect than yhe desired one you are looking for.
Also, I have yet to find one that states the correct way to visualize chakras. They mention it in such a basic way and everyone has a different way, but what is the correct, broken down into how to see, feel, energize the energy center in your mind.

Great video, but there were a few errors I noticed: The Dhyana Mudra is _right_ on top of left (as observed in the image). And for clarification, "Gyun" Mudra is actually when the palm is facing _downward,_ "chin" Mudra is the same, i.e. thumb+index fingertips, like this:👌, and all fingers touching and straightened, however, the palm is facing _upward._
The theory, is that you do the Chin Mudra version when the sun is up so you absorb the Prana and you do the Gyun Mudra version when the sun has risen and moon is out.
I remember it as: the chin is upward, therefore palms facing up and gyun as down because gyun (kinda 😅) rhymes with down, so palms face down.

For maximum effect concentrate on the touching points of the fingers as well as the whole hand. Try to imagine your hand as if you're looking at it with your eyes - but keep your eyes closed. Focus absolutely on the hand with all fingers (also the ones who are straight!).

How does the difference of the elements in the fingers effect the benefits ..in Jin shin Jyutsu ( Japanese healing art ): thumb is earth stomach and spleen- index is water kidney and urinary bladder - middle finger is wood gallbladder and liver - ring finger is air lung and large intestine - little finger is fire , heart and small intestine .. I use the mudras you are showing in my yoga class and it is confusing when you touch the fingers on the mudras that represent different organs ..we have 8 mudras that we use ..example 3 are the mudras you showed us .. 1 was the asthma mudra you showed ..but you are using the middle finger for respiratory ..in JSJ lungs are the ring finger ???

It's all about psychological effects.the way you feel and think same the changes occur in a body.no matter which mudra one does whatever he/she has made mentality,he/she feels and get the result in that way.

Are these just beliefs or do they really work? If so, how? Curious to know.
