Well thankfully that's not the case(personally). The Forza Motorsport series doesn't lean to far into racing simulation physics like Asetto Corsa and Project Cars 2. It's a mixture of arcade and just enough simulation to make the game playable and most importantly enjoyable for controller players. And Forza Motorsport is one of the very few Xbox racing games that support controller players who want a litte more realism compared to other racing games. I actually like the upgrade system for single player. It prompts players to experiment and find out what works for each car, and it makes the races much more competitive instead of just allowing you to slap a turbo and grippy tires on right away and outpace everyone. For online though, this system would be very annoying.
"Are there even lights around this circuit" -> This hits differently for any South Africans right now with our loadshedding :D Love my home track being in this game though, Its always great to see when other people first race on it, just how much they enjoy it. Ive got so many hours on the track IRL in so many different types of cars and even bikes.
I love the lvl system for parts. Gives you a reason to actually drive the cars. As opposed to just buying them and upgrading them right away. Then again. I like RPGs a lot, so I'm used to grinding 😂
This will also make the game have a longer lifespan. I don't want to own every car in a matter of weeks because I got first every race because everything needed to do so was handed to us immediately.
For a game that's trying to be as realistic as possible, the upgrade system is a miss. When was the last time you went into a store and couldn't buy tires because you aren't a high enough level.
I'm not really against having the higher level parts locked, that's the way i always played games like NFS. And to be honest, it is part of a progression system, which is what Forza fans have been dying to get. What i don't agree is having to level up each car specifically to get an upgrade. That's too try hard. Locking every part behind driver level would be better in my opinion.
I personally don’t mind the upgrade system by the looks of it. Cuz FM7 allows you to upgrade anything you want right out the gate, which makes it too easy. I like that you have to put work in to make your car faster tbh.
You still had to work to earn the money to get it like it didn't just hand you a million right out of the fucking starting point and you were just like yeah go have at it
and there's also the matter of difficulty, if you don't wanna destroy every event, just turn the damn difficulty up, and upgrading your car is not an automatic win ever especially if the game scales the cars to yours
I don't think the upgrade system is inherently bad, it's got the right idea but it does need a little rework. I think let's do away with the level system swap it for a point system, where you need drive a certain distance(constant value, doesn't increase as you get more points) to get a point which you can then spend to unlock any upgrade of your choice. Maybe make more powerful upgrades cost 2 or even 3 points to give them extra value. We could also have challenges like complete a lap of in under as extra unlock conditions for the most powerful upgrades.
Yeah then you still have to drive the car and you know how long you have to drive the car and play the game instead of having to wonder how long it will take to get to a certain level.
As someone who plays Gran Turismo, 50% of my time is spent grinding credits, while the other 50% I spend just doing random races or doing time trials against myself. This new upgrade system will be better for people who DO want to spend lots of time on one specific vehicle to get it to the best place it possibly can be. It’ll be kinda cool if you see someone with a highly leveled vehicle in an online race because you know they worked hard to get to that point. It rewards people who want to spend lots of time in a game like this.
What's going to happen if people are just going to tell you to get a girlfriend go touch grass nobody's going to be impressed nobody's going to think you're cool. They're going to assume you're bag it's been spark so much time on video games and needs to get the fuck out of the house

Honestly It seems like it could be fun to have to stick with a specific car for a while and upgrade it bit by bit, it means buying a car is that much more thought out. However its going to be a pain in the ass for drifters and drag racers. You have to drive and level a car for 3 hours and then after that re-tune it to drift, not know if its any good really. and then only once you hop online will you find out if your car is trash or not compared to everyone elses builds. And if it is trash, you start all over the next day with a different build

This guy should focus on learning to drive faster instead of relying on modifications. Do agree that leveling up every individual car is a pain in the ass. Maybe just level up the driver then have races rely on BOP.
I think the upgrade system is meant to make it feel like a real life progression. You race more and more with a car and slowly but part that you can afford or choose to put the money elsewhere
You know what else did that having to earn money to buy cars. You know it's more realistic than some weird RPG leveling system earning money to be able to upgrade your cars. Nothing about this feels like real life progression. Maybe if this was a mechanic simulator
@@lucky13sjbut in fm7 credits where easy to come by, you do 7-8 races and you could easily get a car that’s near fully upgraded. This looks like a whole new system and is giving me FH1 vibes where you bond with a car and have to work with it to make it better. @@AGreyGoat So you balance the credits, you don't lock shit behind some stupid fucking level wall like I'm playing Skyrim. I never had an issue with games like Forza 3 and 4 it was still grindy but to the extent that a racing game should be not some weird RPG-Racing hybrid.
In real life your car level doesn't limit you to what upgrade you buy. Your bank account does... this feels like a dodgy car MMO system. Completely game and not an ounce of real life.
This progression is probably for people like me who come from other car games but not “professional racing” games. It might be harder to get used to it “like learning you actually have to follow the line for better time and be careful with other cars” so it can’t let you have a 300 mph car right away or you wouldn’t learn that you need to practice on making yourself faster with a slow car
LMAO ah yes the "pride and accomplishment comment" gave me PTSD flashbacks to my days covering Star Wars Battlefront 2. Thx for that 😂 also Forza is looking great, can't wait to play this. LETS GOOOOOO
honestly, the upgrades system is awesome, it makes you earn your upgrades instead of having a 2000hp car by the 3rd race like in forza horizon. The career mode would be so easy and boring otherwise
It's Forza I can almost guarantee that it's possible to have 2000hp by the 3rd race. Like shit I had 450+ unique cars the first day of playing fh5 without doing a single race or event
I honestly love the leveling system because i did a similar thing in the previous games where i would only use what money i won from a race and just get small upgrades at a time and it was satisfying. Really connected you with the car.
I prefer this leveling system instead of having everything handed out in front of you from the start. Instead of having some easy fix, you can learn to adapt your technique. You don't really grind in Forza. I'm excited and can't wait
Yeah, you get to experience each car for what it is. You'll be forced to pick a car that has intrinsic driving traits that you want. If you want a superlight, nimble car, don't start with something big and AWD. Granted, you can eventually get it to drive however you want, but not at first.
@theforestarcher9680 exactly. RWD, FWD, and AWD have their own advantages and disadvantages. I don't really watch AR12, but it seems as if he wanted everything given to him, and his driving isn't really all that great. I can see why he doesn't like it. Personally I won't get bored so early on already having my favorite cars with everything I want on it. It's usually getting credits you're wating for and it doesn't take much, then boom you're on your 20th car throwing all upgrades
@@Yautja_Shadow stop repeating that oh you just want everything given to you bullshit just stop it it's not what people want. We're all cool with doing away with the wheel spin bullshit out of horizon seeing as that's where most of your freebies come from anyway. Having to race and earn the money to buy all the cars you want and all the upgrades you want for those cars was always perfectly fine and perfectly fun there was no need for some artificial padding of the playtime
@lucky13sj For being a Forza fan, I get bored really easily because of how much everything is already given to you from the start. The only way you grind is when a new car is being released and you unlock them by doing the festival. Other than that, your level doesn't mean anything, and if im being honest, it's useless. A level 26 like myself can have all the things as a level 1000 player besides what icons? Let's be honest, Forza games get boring pretty quick a couple months after their releases. I don't mind it so much for Horizon, but I definitely would prefer a leveling system for Motorsport, especially when there isn't going to be any drag racing and drifting when it releases. Just imagine how bored you'd be if everything is going to be given to you from the start when Motorsport drops not having drag and drift. You can easily say the game would be dead very fast. If anything, there could be a possibility of the new Motorsport getting a lot of backlash like Halo for an example. Say what you want. I'm a Forza fan and I'm not afraid to call them out when things don't go right. The team has been putting alot of work into the game. Lets just hope they know what they're doing
@lucky13sj also you can get credits really easily doing Goliath races doing a bunch of laps. You're pretty much on unlimited money and if somehow you struggle getting money in the game that's your own fault. They didn't make it where it's a grind to get money like GTA5
This upgrade system will just make everyone choose the op cars and stick with it not exploring other cars to test their abilities andtry cars that isnt as fast but just as fun
Not me but I prefer to play games myself unlike most modern "gamers" that can't make a settings change without someone telling them what to do. Honestly think the internet is causing people to have bad problem solving skills. Thinking and figuring things out is learned through life, kids raised with Google can't figure out anything. Just the truth
i personally like having less in the beginning and achieving it later on, also it allows to focus on the individual car you drive, and enjoy it for what it lacks or what it achieves, i think the new update on levels is a formal way to approach things . everything available from the start is a huge burnout.
It appears animated pit stops are still not present in the new Motorsport as the camera cutscenes only show certain angles without showing the pit crew changing the tires or fueling up the car. In my opinion the upgrade system could be revised a bit to where certain upgrade parts like sport weight reduction, air intakes, suspension, etc can be unlocked at lower levels and race upgrade parts can be unlocked at higher levels, or they can remove the upgrade progression altogether.
I feel like the first update will probably do away with the leveling system, it seems cool at first but most casual players do not have the time to put 3+ hours in on every car in their garage, that takes way too long

I'm in between, for online races and career stuff I don't mind needing to work but I NEED a way to test and tune multiple different builds otherwise I'd get bored, all I end up doing in these games is custom races with random cars I tune, I don't wanna have to play 10 hours just to test one cars upgrades... I need an in-between.
New upgrade system sucks...... I don't like the new Forza Motorsport upgrade system, if u want to upgrade your car, u need spend lots of time to play with the same car. So if u want to full upgrade a car, maybe u need to keep racing for many hours. How much money a Game Pass game can make depends on how much time players spend playing it. So i think because this reason they made this system, but for those players just want to custom their car, it's a nightmare.
I would have absolutely no problem with the upgrade system if you didn’t have to do it for each individual car. Like if I fully unlock everything for a Camaro ZL1 1LE and then go buy a second one, I should not have to re-unlock everything
please tell forza to add 360 degree steering wheel and tell forza to look at yuwan thayakaran videos where he is telling to add and remove features that makes the game better and to follow your videos because nick you make the best content funny jokes
I hate the upgrading system. It should be something you can turn on/off instead of being an obligatory thing. I hate grinding for basic stuff that shouldn't be locked behind a dumb level system. Having to grind to Level 45 just to get a freaking widebody is so annoying and I'm not even counting the other stuff.
Gladly I can finally relate to another saffa about our favourite game series😂
I love the lvl system for parts. Gives you a reason to actually drive the cars. As opposed to just buying them and upgrading them right away. Then again. I like RPGs a lot, so I'm used to grinding 😂
This will also make the game have a longer lifespan. I don't want to own every car in a matter of weeks because I got first every race because everything needed to do so was handed to us immediately.
@@refillz5281 exactly
Al least it will make the bad kid drivers stay away from the game
For a game that's trying to be as realistic as possible, the upgrade system is a miss. When was the last time you went into a store and couldn't buy tires because you aren't a high enough level.

So in conclusion, Nicholas describes every single aspect of this games as, 'Sick'.....
"Game stop giving me these things."
"I can't get hipacar and all upgrades after first race."
Try to decide.
No one's asking for a hypercar in the first race stop with your fictitious made up bullshit
I really like this

Not sure about the upgrade system, quite tedious. Plus, the plate lights should've lit up at night.
The serotonin a AR12 let’s play brings…. Unreal

I like the upgrade system, will make me stick to one car for longer
Honestly It seems like it could be fun to have to stick with a specific car for a while and upgrade it bit by bit, it means buying a car is that much more thought out. However its going to be a pain in the ass for drifters and drag racers. You have to drive and level a car for 3 hours and then after that re-tune it to drift, not know if its any good really. and then only once you hop online will you find out if your car is trash or not compared to everyone elses builds. And if it is trash, you start all over the next day with a different build

Rather than just throwing money and parts at a problem and then moving onto the next thing
@@AGreyGoat FH1 still at the same buy an upgrade model is every other Forza game

You are spoiling us today, I just came from the crew part 1 video
honestly, the upgrades system is awesome, it makes you earn your upgrades instead of having a 2000hp car by the 3rd race like in forza horizon. The career mode would be so easy and boring otherwise
It's Forza I can almost guarantee that it's possible to have 2000hp by the 3rd race. Like shit I had 450+ unique cars the first day of playing fh5 without doing a single race or event
Progression! I like the upgrade system
Same!!! I play it but the reason other forza games are not that fun to me is I hop on and just get a bugatti in the first 30 minutes
I’ll be so happy if the 2006 Miura is in this game, my favourite car in existence and it’s only ever been in FM4

I honestly love the leveling system because i did a similar thing in the previous games where i would only use what money i won from a race and just get small upgrades at a time and it was satisfying. Really connected you with the car.
I love how Forza is pretty great for casual players, and then makes a customization system that pretty much screws us over
Looks great! I’m excited for this. I actually like the new system of progression personally.
Holy hell 2?!!!!!!!!
Dayuuuum this turned into the best day of my life ❤️
The leveling system is why i got the Crew Motorfestinstead

@@metallicafan416 yea that's you but a lot of people will look at the leaderboard and just use that one car
i personally like having less in the beginning and achieving it later on, also it allows to focus on the individual car you drive, and enjoy it for what it lacks or what it achieves, i think the new update on levels is a formal way to approach things . everything available from the start is a huge burnout.
Honestly I love new upgrading system. Makes you more connected to the car
Honestly i think this game is supposed to be a pace game. build your car up from nothing and make it better, improve results, etc.
Agreed, also the fact that the top 3 are still inhumanly fast at level 6 worries me.

Hybrids don't appear to be simulated. There's no battery gauge for the Corvette e-Ray and the power gauge on the cluster is locked at 85 kW.
I feel like the first update will probably do away with the leveling system, it seems cool at first but most casual players do not have the time to put 3+ hours in on every car in their garage, that takes way too long
Yeah later there will be 700 plus cars so 3 hours times 700 equals too much grinding. This ain't a car MMO like the crew.
