Forza had it right a few times, but they have to nerf the GT40 because it's a meta car.

wait a second did they make the forza arrow adjust to the width of the car because it doesn't look undersized like it usually did.
No, Forza Aero is the same as before, that's just how it's always looked on the Ford GT. I agree that we need a part two, the only problem is that the only modern prototype we have is the Cadillac V-Series.R. Hopefully, the Acura ARX-06 is added to the game so they can do Petit Le Mans

Forza really nerfed the GT40 lol, IRL it could do 220 miles per hour.
the one we got in game is the road car version not the race car the mk 1 is a racing version at least but we need the race version of the mk2
@@topgun1457 the mk2 did not have a road version besides the mk3 (which used a much less powerful and smaller engine, more closely related to the mk1), and the power figure provided by the game is correct. if anything it is more indicative of Forza's game engine not accurately representing the car, given the otherwise correct specs...another thing to add onto the list of bugs and inaccuracies with the new FM.

@TheRCTAddict they did make road car mk2s but they were all built as race cars and a small number were swaped to road car spec but in the case of that guy's comment they were no less powerful in any way from what I understand
At one point in Senna's Mclaren it was showing I had fuel for 1500 laps. Best game 10/10
So, to explain why it’s close between the cars. That’s the 67 Ferrari vs the 66 ford. The real life GT40 could also do 220+, not sure why it’s limited to 200. 67 GT40 was a further upgrade with the experimental J Car
Forza doesnt know how to setup cars.
Thats the 289 cubic inch gt40, not the big block gt40
@@mageacone in the video is a MK2 car which had a big block and it does in forza, always had one in the games. The MK4 which is the j style gt40 and those came with 289

The stock gt40 in forza is a 289 engine, the ones that won were 427S
They have the MkI and MkII GT40's. I haven't looked, but surely the MkII in game has the 427.
They have both in the game the MK1 and MK2 so 289 and 427

The Ferraris in real life were Ferrari 330 P3 and in the game we have the Ferrari spa 330 P4 ! That's why the Ferraris were dominating in your race !

At the very least Forza could have made the historical icons accurate to real life instead of whatever the hell they are right now.
1: Pretty sure Forza has a Ferrari bias
2: Technically, the 330 P4 should be fighting the GT40 Mk4, not the Mk2. The Mk2 would be against the 330 P3.
I know these are what Forza has, I'm just explaining why the race is uneven. The difference 1 year makes...

Me and my friend were doin a race and apparently started with 700 laps of fuel, and within a lap we were down to 300, then another lap down to 100, then another lap down to 20

I wish they would add the Ferrari 330 P3 because that is the actual 1966 car, the closest we get is the 330 P4 from 1967 so it accelerates much quicker and is more reliable.

The Ferrari's being faster than the gt40s is absolute bullshit. Irl, those gt40s were flying by them on the straights like it was nothing.

You should do another almost Daytona 24 hours race.
As good as doing a 24 hour race, it's best done solo, as players would just quit part way through
there is no daytona in this game
Ford won partly for the durability of the vehicles, and the fact that they could replace the ENTIRE brake assembly on the GTs.
The fords were also faster than the p4 almost anywhere on the track this game definitely doesn't accurately show how these cars drive

@DonatProdanSimRacing 66 with the mk2 but I got you the p3 and 4 looked so fast but it couldn't hold up to the gt40
Ford had a good car but their financial might helped big time. They entered 8 of their latest and fastest cars in '66 whereas Ferrari only entered 3 of their fastest cars at the time. Back then when reliability was so poor having numbers helped a lot.

It’s not actually. Ferrari couldn’t keep up with 40s at all. The horsepower the 40s made was one thing but the handling was on pair of not better then the p4s. Ferrari pushed the p4s as much as possible but couldn’t keep and parts broke on the cars
@@Longislandgt40 Ferrari 330s handled much better than the GT40s and at tighter tracks they had the advantage. Important to note, there was no P4 in 1966 (the LM Nick was recreating here), only P3 (a bit worse car). P4 came in 1967 and it's main rivals were the MkIV GT40 at faster, open tracks, and the Porsche 907 at tighter tracks. Ferrari ended up taking the championship with their P4s in 1967.
@@DonatProdanSimRacing typing error there whoopsie😅 meant the p3s. Handling on the p3s wasn’t light years better then the 40 tho. They did have a slight edge but not as big as everyone thinks they did.

tbh this aint really realistic, the ford might have been heavier but ford was faster in top speed and even in the corners because of how good ken miles was and the fords major horsepower advantage
the mk2 in game is one of the road car mk2's so it is detuned and has the classic 1960's road car suspension as well
@@topgun1457 the mk2 never had a road car version -- all 11 built were used by race teams. you are probably thinking of the mk3, but that would have been using the 4.7L, not the 7.0L used in the mk2. additionally, the 485hp figure given by the game is correct, so it's something in the game engine itself that's seemingly inaccurate.

The second game you did not get screwed over it was a skill issue. Didn’t need to pit and you definitely did not need to refuel to 100%. Made the car wash heavier for not reason. You already had a full lap of fuel to finish the race

Watching Nick struggle with the breaks is another level of realism and accuracy if you know how Ken Miles died in the movie.

Put me behind the wheel of the Ford GT40 MKII and I would do better. I drive one of those daily in Forza Horizon 4. Including the 2005 and 2017 Ford GT

So is it possible to do the 24hr Le Mans race or nah? I know on the new GT for PS5 we can and i would love for Forza Motorsport to have it as well. They’re both amazing games and both have their own unique differences that make race sim fan’s never get bored because we have both and both games are amazing. I’m just talking purely console by the way. I know there’s really good sims on PC.
