I think the main beef is with the main actress having been an insufferable brat. Everything else, the CGI dwarfs etc, could easily have been forgiven, no matter how dull the movie. There is a lesson to be learned from the old Hollywood stars: never speak about politics or religion. Actors are also salesmen of movies. Stay neutral, make yourself appealing to everyone, and don’t ruin it for all the other voiceless people who’ve worked hard on a project.
I, and my Dad, are EXTREMELY excited about this to come out! When I was a much younger child, I was beyond frightened of the Wicked witch! But, I dressed-up as Snow White for 2 Halloween's straight when I was a kid! 🍎👸🏻

That mirror looks bad! And if you’re going with CGI dwarfs, might as well have made them look like the beloved characters from 1937, but in 3D. Btw, I’m German, and the original German story has a great deal of meaning and cultural significance to me, so it’s fairly awful to see some of the choices they’ve made. They’d never be so flippant and uncaring about Polynesian culture. The animated classic was totally fine btw.

Yes it's true. Even the parks never really gave Snow White very big welcoming. It's always been about Cinderella. Never could figure out why she wasn't the main princess in either of the parks in the US. All about promoting movies I guess.

Oooh, thanks for noticing! I've started using an ai enhancer on the images I use for the thumbnails. I started sharpening the videos better a while ago too. But yesterday I ordered a brand new camera!! So hopefully you'll notice they look even better in the new year!!! And the trick to the hair is to be too busy to get it cut 😂😂

Disney could have taken some tips from Peter Jackson in casting fantasy dwarf characters. John Rhys-Davies is SIX FOOT THREE (190.5cm) and yet when I watch LotR I see Gimli the Dwarf chopping orc knees. They most likely did CGI to cut down on the budget.
The reason so many people are annoyed because Disney keeps pushing a agenda. Instead of staying true to the source material. And they’re sick of it. You gotta remember everyone grew up with Snow White. We did, our grandparents did our parents did… you know it’s been for for almost a 100 years.
I, like you, am indifferent at this point. I haven't partaken of (or even seen) the online pre-reactions to this; but I'll confess that I was a little surprised that Disney was choosing to remake this title at all, at this point in time (the original title is, at the moment, booby-trapped in two distinct ways, which is a lot for a 6-word title -- yes, I know it's down to 2 for the remake). Nobody was making them do it, and they could have chosen a different one (there are plenty of other choices). For me, one of the earliest of their remakes (was it the first?), is far and away the best: Cinderella. It acknowledged a connection with the animated classic at just a handful of moments, but mostly was its own thing -- it wasn't a musical at all, it had a whole different sequence of scenes, and it supplied a number of welcome elements missing before, while adhering to a good tight running time. None of the others have come anywhere near that standard.
I'm somewhat torn on some of the creative choices of the film but will watch it regardless, I loved the OG so I always like to compare and contrast in a sense? And it's fun to revisit that Snow White world. I am exctied to see the direction they're going in terms of the new aspects of the story as its my favourite fairy tale! But I'm mostly excited to see it because of Ediz!! 🌟
I don't really have any issues with the dwarves being CGI/motion capture, because dwarves in fairy tale lore actually do look exactly like what we're seeing in this trailer. But any problem that people have with this particular film, I think, is just to make people want to see it out of curiosity, if nothing else.
I'll see it in theaters, why not? I mean, as long as it's stuck to the original animated version (or to the book version), I'm fine with, just hope it doesn't change the entire plot. Prince Charming (a.k.a. Jonathan in this version) deserves justice! IN MY OPINION: Some pros: The forest animals FINALLY have some facial expressions and personality to them (the turtle and Chip from Enchanted LOL), the cinematography looks well-made, Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen looks amazing (love her costumes and jewelry; the makeup on her eyes tho at 8:00 low-key looks clownish). Some cons: Rachel Zegler as Snow White (her hair looks really bad especially in the part in your video at 7:56 and 7:59), her iconic outfit looks low-key like a Spirit Halloween costume, the 7 dwarves looks meh (bobblehead-sized figures in real-life. I do like Dopey tho -- he looks the most human to me), and hopefully the whole girl-boss thing is actually a DECENT change, and the Prince gets screen time, if not more, than the Disney animated version. The trailer should NOT have showed Gal Gadot as the old hag -- that should've been saved for when people see the movie as a surprise.
My only problems with this movie is 1. Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen. She just sounds like she's reading her lines off of que cards with no emotion. They should've casted someone else who would've brought some actual intensity to the role. 2. The CGI dwarves. They should've cast actors with dwarfism because that would've provided work to them especially in a big movie like this, but nope Peter Dinklage's comment got in Disney's head and fucked that up.
Man... I am not optimistic. The Dwarves look terrible, Gal Godot is not a good person and... there has never been a single decent live action remake in the 14 years that Disney's been turning them out.

Magic mirror doesn't sent look THAT bad it does remind me of the one in kingdom hearts birth by sleep. The dwarfs do look a little 2004 Polar express like but it's not bad but I was kinda expecting them to look a little better seeing as this isn't a mocap movie from 2024 visually tho the move does look beautiful like all the lensflare. I think people hate it thus much because if how smug Rachel zegler and the crew act towards the original instead of making if seem like a celebration of the original movie it feels like they're saying it's the worst aged movie of all time is not a good look and will get alot of Disney fans to hate it

It's too CGI-heavy, unoriginal, and Snow White's name is supposed to reflect on her PALE skin color. Oh yeah, and Rachel Zegler is very arrogant. I hate these unneeded remakes. They are so anti-animation, especially anti-2D. In fact, the guy in charge of them, Sean Bailey, openly admitted that the main point of the remakes is to cater to manbabies/womanbabies who don't question anything and to get rid of all the "problematic" stuff of the original films in order to cater to the "overly sensitive modern audience". It's too CGI-heavy, unoriginal, and Snow White's name is supposed to reflect on her PALE skin color. Oh yeah, and Rachel Zegler is very arrogant.
I hate these unneeded remakes. They are so anti-animation, especially anti-2D.
In fact, the guy in charge of them, Sean Bailey, openly admitted that the main point of the remakes is to cater to manbabies/womanbabies who don't question anything and to get rid of all the "problematic" stuff of the original films in order to cater to the "overly sensitive modern audience".
Don't pay to see anymore remakes, no matter how much you want to critique and poke fun of them.

Live action.. there are many Drwafs that are actors. They could have hired actual real people. Not gnomes. Not going to see it. Hope it's a huge flop
