I got a female guinea pig from my aunt around new Year's of 2020, had her for a while, then she started to get depressed so we decided to get her a buddy. We went to Petco to get a "female" as they said it was, turns out it was a male. Idk yet but I had seen him on her mating and I think she's pregnant. So far it's probably been 4 weeks and we haven't taken her to the vet yet, but we're planning to do so, soon. I think she's pregnant but I'm hoping she isn't because I don't think we have the proper materials to care for baby guineas, plus I don't want my room to smell like a zoo. I'm also pretty scared because I don't want her to get injured while giving birth. I tried the technique you had did and I felt 3 bumps. I think that also confirmed she is pregnant so I'm not expecting anything different from the vet.
How old is she? As long as they separate the males from the females when they are for weeks old and separate the dad from the mum immediately it should be all okay. It’s probably best to rehome the dad. If you want to find out how to tell the difference between male and female there are other videos on my channel.

Don't worry about your guinea pig, if you want a serious diagnosis you should take her to the vet. They will be able to carry out an ultrasound.

You’re not supposed to be flipping a pregnant Guinea pig on her back. Nor squishing her tummy. Every article on pregnant Guinea pigs explain to try not to hold them and if you must feel the tummy, do it gently. This made me cringe. However, I now know how to tell if my Guinea pig is pregnant so props for that I guess 🤷🏻♀️

@@celestecima3947 Once I rescued a guinea pig who was pregnant about the same age as yours is she had two babies one completely healthy and strong and one that was unfortunately still born. She was a really strong yet you still had a stillborn. I was actually kind of expecting them both to be stillborn so I was very thankful that one of them still very healthy and happy I called him warrior.
Hey my guinea pig doesn't let me touch her abdomen, she sqeaks when I touch it and starts soft biting me, she gets angry and she recently gained weight too

@@Sotarogojo Even if she doesn’t like it you need to pick her up and feel her tummy see if she feels packaged or like a balloon. If she has packaged and she is definitely pregnant and we will just have to keep an eye on her and make sure she has continued access to water and good healthy food. She is not too old at all so she should be okay. Otherwise if she feels gassy like a full balloon then she is bloated I’m not exactly sure what to do in that situation so you’ll have to google it. It sounds to me like she is more likely to be bloated.

I had 2 piggies then a friend of my mum gave us theirs cuz their other pig had died, so their remaining one was depressed and needed a friend. So we took him (well we thought it was a boy but now im not so sure lol). So when we first got him(or her) we introduced him(or her) to our 2 boys. Koda, liked her, yet Taikuma didnt. So we keep her seperate (we would let Her and Koda play in their play pen sometimes, normaly on cage cleaning day) they got along great but ive been noticing that Oreo(the one i think is a girl) had been gaining weight and is getting more chubby at the stomach area, and is heavier then before. Hi, I recently got a New Guinea pig a few days ago that was no longer wanted by its owner and I’m starting to think it was Bc she is prego…I’m about 99% sure she is considering she’s about 3 times my other guinea pigs size and she’s only and American pig . if that’s the case would it be safe to introduce her to my other pigs or at least one of them ? She’s currently in a c&c cage by herself with a bed and sheet over the cage for hiding..
Yes definitely introduce her to at least one. Just don’t stress her out too many. Make sure feels safe, she friends and lots of soft dark places to hind. Also make sure she has 24 access to hay and fresh water.

Yes but it’s not healthy for them. Guinea pigs can get pregnant from three weeks old although that is very rare in domesticated guinea pigs it’s more likely to happen from six weeks old.
It is much healthier for a Guinea pigs to have babies or get pregnant at around eight or nine months. Not that I recommend getting your Guinea pigs pregnant on purpose.
My guenie pig is pregnant.... I can't even flip my other pigs over with one hand like that to pet belly little lone my pregnant mommy. I think video is great otherwise bit the way they were flipped over with one hand like nothing so fast seems stressful for them. It was bothering.

That’s not normal or healthy for a guinea pig that young. Should be about eight or nine months when they get pregnant for the first time. The best thing you can probably do is take her to the vet. If it happened to me I will just keep an eye on her and do everything I can to keep her healthy. I would also put her with an experience guinea pig who has had babies before. So she can prompt her. If she ends up abandoning the babies or something like that then you can feed the babies kitten milk.
She’s a red eyed white, she was just born like that it’s the same as if a guinea pig has brown eyes. There’s no problem with them. If there is an albino they can I have some eye problems.

I do know that now, that was my first time, it makes me cringe too. Luckily she and her babies were fine.

She is probably pregnant, how is she? When they get older their body is no longer equipped for being pregnant so it can hurt.

I think my 3 months old guinea pig is pregnant. is it normal?what do i do?she is so tiny and her belly is getting bigger
That’s not normal or healthy for a guinea pig that young. Should be about eight or nine months when they get pregnant for the first time. The best thing you can probably do is take her to the vet. If it happened to me I will just keep an eye on her and do everything I can to keep her healthy. I would also put her with an experience guinea pig who has had babies before. So she can prompt her. If she ends up abandoning the babies or something like that then you can feed the babies kitten milk.

If she’s really around but she feels hollow and not packaged she might have bloat.

eating hay a lot is normal, but not being scared although They do have Moodswings and hormones.

Why the f**k is the white 1 eyes red
She’s a red eyed white, she was just born like that it’s the same as if a guinea pig has brown eyes. There’s no problem with them. If there is an albino they can I have some eye problems.
