Quite honestly I do not think the pen is the best tourist attraction in Kingston by a long, long shot. My old english sheepdog fell into that moat once. Fire dept? Thank you! Check out some performances at the Grand Theater or the beautiful Isabelle while you're here.
There are two great castles to visit on the 1000 Islands; Singer Castle and Boldt Castle . Bring your passport--they are in the States.
Went here to visit my family as they visited us in Glasgow Scotland where they moved from back in the 50s

Kingston really surprised us. It is a great city with so many things to do and its quite historical by Canadian standards.
What happened to Fort Henry--the #1 tourist attraction in Kingston. World famous Fort Henry Guard. You showed a few clips a the first but you did not describe it.

i was here in kingston for 10 years there is nothing to do its so boarding and it got so boarding i moved i was really mad how board i was
Tell people how the city tore down the statue of Canada's first Prime Minister John A MacDonald!
They didn't tear it down it was being vandalized and moved to Sir John A MacDonalds grave..vandalized there..

what about the health services ? How easy to find a doctor? How long it takes to be attended at the Emergency ?
this is a real issue--not hardly enough doctors for the growing population.

Kingston is actually turning 350 in 2023. It celebrated its 300 in 1973
Sure, I can give you that. It was a trading post in 1673. It wasn't until the 1800s that it was even established as a town and then eventually as a city. But the truth is, it has thousands of years of history since it is located on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee Confederacy, and Huron-Wendat People.

There is no place to swim?
there are plenty of places to swim, we just didn't go swimming. Kingston is located on three different waterways and there are urban beaches and public pools. You can swim at Breakwater Park, Arrowhead Beach Park, and Lake Ontario Park to name a few.
