Unplanned adventure: A hike to the marsh gone wrong.

- HAPPY 2024!!! Out in the woods today and exploring up a storm. I ended up hiking down to the marsh to check out the river, and quickly reveal why the boardwalk plans are important. Whether or not I repeat my accidental icy river plunge from January of last year is yet to be seen (unless of course, you watch the video). While out there, we chat canoe rack, meet a few new deer friends on the game cams and have an all around lovely time.

Lol, well the ice on the marsh is only ever a couple inches thick given the amount of vegetation under it. But closer to the river's edge where trees once stood, trunks that are rotting or have rotted certainly do create pockets of deep water. Which, cough. Well. ahem.
Might need to buy you some waders? 😄Nice walk but really miss seeing the snow.
Totally should have worn waders 😂😂😂 - good news though; it's snowing right now!
