Im trying to find a hair dye that has no red tones after it starts to fade i want it to be black black!! Lol so the garnier olia has no red tones i might have to try it
Indeed it's a true black 🖤
The reason you see those red tones is because the 20 volume developer that comes in the box will lift (make hair lighter) before it deposits the color, and when dark hair gets lifted it will turn red, so when the black fades you will be left with that red underneath. Instead, you need to use a developer of 10 vol or lower, that way the color will be deposited only. However lower volume developers don't work for covering grays. Another suggestion is to try Bigen hair color, it's a Japanese hair dye that has no peroxide nor ammonia, its a powder you mix with water, and is for deposit only. Try shade #59 Oriental black, its a pitch black with no red or blue, just a deep jet black that will stay that way until you cut or bleach your hair.

It is a good exclusive product for learning how to get your natural hair color back without the headache. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my cousin after many years got astronomical results with it.

I feel like goth is about to make a resurjence soon. People are so much more accepting and open minded to different subcultures nowadays. Also all of these old trends are coming back in a modern way. Waiting for goth to come back.💖🖤💜💚

@@missmedina1491 yes! It is very dark and stays jet black for about 4 weeks. Makes my hair very shiny too because of the oils in the dye
I have mousy brown hair(with a lot of grey) I used the Live black/blue for years but it went brown after a couple of washes.Since your video I've started using the Olia intense black and have never looked back since! Thank you so much for your video! Your hair is so beautiful 🖤😮
Thanks Cathy and I agree to use Olia for best results and better hair at all... used Garnier with ammonia in it before and had issues with it... do now only use olia hair dye... it's maybe more expensive but the endurance of color is much better, stays longer and better for hair in general as ammonia based dye... 😊👍🖤

thank you! i had dyed my hair half blonde and kept the other side my natural color -brown. and i tried arctic fox Transylvania to dye my entire hair one whole color and i was under the impression it was black but half my head barely took the color and the blonde side is more blue than anything ! i'll have to try these out
I don't think arctic fox is permanent dye, this one is!

Hi, I just tried garnier olia hair color does a great job. Less hair fall after coloring ,the conditioner that comes with the box made my hair soft and does not have a strong ammonia smell.Thanks for your review.

Your hair looks beautiful. Great video thanks for the tips. I ended up using a dark blue (midnight muse) by mistake and my grey hairs are noticeably blue. I'm going to try the garnier product and see what happens.

Great advice i tried Crazy Color and it was really crazy staining the bath tub blue and pillow and skin and non black clothes it looked like i had made out with a smurf. The Garnier Olia 1-0 black is amazing though many thanks it's very kind to hair.
I used to have the crazy color one for touch ups, but I highly prefer using permanent dye instead of semi.

This was really helpful thank you. I like Olia as well as I don't like the smell of ammonia. I have only found "soft black" in this brand in the UK but perhaps I will have to buy online! I quite like blue - black but when I tried it all my roots that are a bit grey went blue and the rest of the hair was black, not a good look! X
I think Olia has the best overal black coverage. I never liked the way blue black looks on my hair ^^

depends on your personal taste, I dye mine black all the time XD regardless of if I'm considering getting it cut or not

I have very dark hair but have white gray hairs moving into my scalp and so recently I tried a purple semi permanent but I feel like a fraud because its not black. ninna peabody did u use artic fox cause that’s what I used and mine is the same way😭😭 the purple and green doesn’t go anywhere either
semi permanent is not meant to last, it's meant to wash out, so if you can, go for permanent dye (especially with black) its the best way to keep black hair. Of course if you want to change your color a lot, permanent dye is not the best option because you have to bleach darks in order to get lighter shades again

i’ve been looking for a really good and deep black hair dye for while now, and im definitely gonna try this one out next. i have auburn hair naturally and i cant get the black to stay black. it always turns into a darker reddish brown on the top part (growout from after i bleached it) and like a nice blue-black on the bottom (hair was half dark purple, half dark blue and bleached before that). like is it too much to ask for a black that stays that way??
it is hard to get a lasting color using box dye, best is to go to a professional or get pro products, but this stays really nice on me I find, for over 2-3 months ^^

I used Revlon blue black and it turned like a dark green with brown undertone and the dyed parts from the blue splat hait dye ive hsed in the last are showing up. Once my hair starts growing longer, im thinking about using one of those hair dyes. Are those hair dyes sade for damage prone hair?

i put this dye over my bleached white blonde hair, and it def has blue tones. I left my ends and when i washed out dye, it coloured my ends blue - greyish, but in the shower water was reddish black ahahah
It dyed veryyyy well bleached hair i hope it stays nice and doesnt wash out green cuz i didnt fill it before putting black colour.
Also, my hair got really damaged cuz of bleach, and after this dye it feels soooo soft everywhere i put it and its veryyyyyyy shiny! Never have I experienced mth like this!

Loved this vid! Do you recommend using the garnier olia in shade 1.0 or the new garnier olia in shade 2P platinum black? I have naturally black hair but want to achieve the pitch black raven type colour you're rocking, but not blue black.
I only use the regular 0.1 deep black. The other one I haven't tried

What shampoo and conditioner do you use after you have dyed it black? What are the best so it doesnt strip the color out?
I use the conditioner that comes with the dye itself, and afterwards I use another hair dye protective conditioner (I'm currently trying out one by Redken) the shampoo I use is also the color protest by Redken currently

Revlon is not available easily in Belgium, but I have a look. For now I stick to the Garnier olia
I have natural jet black hair but I bleached it twice blonde then dyed it bright red with splat 😑 I hate it I dyed it back black but it keeps washing away every month and it gives me that reddish brown hair color which I hate, I love black I want my blackkk hair back
red is the most stubborn pigment that you can get in your hair, I would recommend using a color that is green to help cancel it out
Do you know if it has a blue tint in it. I don’t want it looking blue in my grey hair
it has a very slight blue undertone, but not noticeable on dyed hair at all.

It's a true black, although it has a extremely slight blue undertone
What shampoo / conditioner did you use to help keep the product in
My shampoo is the miscelair one for dyed hair from Garnier, and the conditioner from this box is the best. Other than that I use the papaya hairfood conditioner.
Hey orphea . im a newbie at this but i was reading about black hair dye's that they can cause HypoPigmentation on the face . The 1st one you recommended it is totally safe
Hi there! I actually do not know, but I never had any issues with it of staining my skin. I do use a barrier of vaseline around my hair on my face, neck and ears to make sure they dont get dyed as well.

Can I dilute with conditioner to get a dark grey colour?
I don't think that will work, for gray you need white hair to start with, and use a specific gray dye.

You stated every 3 months does this mean this product doesn't fade color as fast? Exactly what I'm looking for. I have stubborn gray hair how will this work on gray? I'm using Indigo blue black permanent ones and it works wonders on grays. But color fades fast! 🙄. I have to color my hair every 4 to 5 weeks(don't like that)
I have naturally dark brown hair, so every 3-4 month I do a touch up because you will see the difference between the dyed and new hair, this dye is the best in coverage I've used so far!

for me it does not react a lot, but keep in mind that I dye my hair in june and then leave it as is untill september more or less (due to festivals etc)
Does the Olia dye leave blue/purple undertones? I hate the unnatural fluorescent purple undertone of most black hair dyes and am trying to find one that’s literally just black with brown undertone

Do you notice if your hair has remained healthy since you've been dying it for so long? Like not excessive shedding or thinning out from your original hair before the dye? I want to go jet black and remain that way for the rest of my life. Just nervous about maintaining the health and thickness of my hair by adding chemicals to it every couple of months since I have virgin hair. So I'm curious if you noticed any difference in the health of your hair with dye versus no dye.
19Honey87 M it’ll be fine, just take better care of it, no sulphates, a repairing/colour protect conditioner, a mask at least twice a month etc

I'm also the oil hairdye person, except that I use Inoa (for professionals, since I still have my hairdressers card *evil laugh*) colour 6.66 ^w^ And also because I'm simply allergic to ammonia ;w; I did recommend Olia to my mum though, since you've been raving about this brand for several years now :D
I have only tried non professional brands, black permanent hair dye is not that hard in my opinion to get right ^^

It does not damage your hair, and I love the conditioner that comes with it, I'd buy it separately if I could!

more or less yes, it does wash out a little over time, but it absolutely does not go away 100%
Will this cover white roots?
I think it will since it covers gray hairs :)
