Case XX is legendary. The most collectible knife brand in the world with so much history! You can never go wrong with a Case and i want that rosewood longhouse so bad!!!
There isn’t Stuart now that I have it I don’t really love it if I could change things it would be much different I’m not crazy about it thsnks Stuart for your input stay well 😊
Front flippers are something different. They do take a little bit of getting used to, but they are fub once you do. I didn't know Case was making knives like this. Thanks for the look!
Man, that is a good looking knife, love that micarta and is smooth on that drop!! Very glad you were able to straighten up the centering, if they would just look at the damn things before sending them out!! Looks like that sucker can get some work done!! Thanks for the shout out brother, greatly appreciated, truly means a lot!!
Man I'm really digging this knife! It's alot of money though, especially if it's not quite ready for prime time. Ive seen reports of failing locks, uneven grinds and your experience with an off center blade. Plus, it needs thumbstuds. But.....MAN, I love that blade! And the handle! It's a great looking knife! Guess I'll have to give it a go.
I like the looks of the Longhouse. The front flipper looks good. I like the blade shape but it’s a little on the high side for me. Not sure I will pick one up but if I got the chance, I think I would. Thanks for sharing it!
@@jerseyknifeguy6382 ya the one I have says first production run on the blade so it’s an early one but my fit and finish are excellent on it. I’m not a fan of front flippers either until this one. I love using my pointer finger over the top like you did in video.
Thanks for sharing, Pete. I have trouble using a front flipper, and usually shy away from knives that have that deployment system. Keep charging, my friend.
The Long House looks like a good knife, I have been thinking of picking one up. Most likely will now for sure because of your positive review of it. I was not going to get it because of the front flipper also. Take care and God Bless.
That saber cut, hollow ground, swedged clip point blade looks like a keeper. I probably won't get one because I have enough moderns but that blade is special to me so...maybe. Nice one Pete.
@@jerseyknifeguy6382 check your lockup on that. Just watched another video on one and the lockbar failed. May not be strong enough spring or bad geometry but I’d hate to see yours fail without expecting it. Curious to know if it was just his or across the line. He’s contacting Case about it.
I love the design. I wish it was just a little bit bigger though. I can't believe they didn't recess the screws on the pocket clip. That was everyone's, including my own, biggest complaint on their Marilla.
I love the longhouse. I really do. But brother please be careful. I dont recommend poking it directly into something because the liner lock may fail. Mine fails with very little pressure. Kevin over at the knife dr just did a video on it. And i have a short on my channel about it
It's a looker, and if I was still into modern, I'd try it, but I'll be honest, both the marilla and kinzua never leave the house. Too many annoyances. The highbanks interested me until I found out its a double detent. Not my thing. Actual slippy with a good backspring? Yeah, I'd buy that
I thought about getting one of these, as I like the “look”, but I have enough modern flippers. So, I elected to get the more “old school” version called the “Highbanks” in Rosewood. Poor fit/finish, dull blade (but sharp in other areas where it shouldn’t be!). Buyer beware. Don’t waste your money on one of these…..

A modern flipper with a very classy traditional look to it, very cool looking, thanks for sharing it, Pete.

@@jerseyknifeguy6382 Hell yeah!! I did shoot a video last night, can you believe that?? A video thru the week!!

I like everything, but for $170 it might as well have Magnacut.
I hear ya the price is tough thsnks for your input 😊
Love MC but nothing wrong with 20CV.
My main man jim!!!!!
I herd the liner lock doesn't work well with it open tap on the blade and see if it closes 😮God Bless America 🇺🇸 🙏

Sweet looking knife Pete but they are Soooo expensive
Hey Terrill I agree it’s a tough pill to chew on I probably wouldn’t do it again thsnks brother stay well 😊
Well people are paying the same or more for similar knives made in China I might buy the Case but not the CNC no handwork cookie cutters from overseas
I love it for 50.
Otherwise….overpriced trash.
