Love your quilt idea! About plaid fabric: I love to put plaid fabrics on the back of the quilt and for binding (if appropriate). August Wren has so many beautiful colored plaids that are frequently on closeout at Hancocks. So when I see them, I get em (generally for 3.99 a yard). Plaid precuts? Ugh...they are rarely cut straight.
We might have the same taste in fabric. I love so many of Dear Stella’s fabric lines and August Wren has some awesome lines with her. Also my fave online shop is Hancocks of Paducah, I spend a fair amount at their shop🤑. Thanks for the quilty love and for watching. 😊❤️🐥
@@sisterchicksquilting I buy 90% of my fabric from Hancocks...and I never buy it unless it is on closeout. Also, I have had excellent luck with the solids offered at Walmart under the Waverly inspiration logo. I cannot tell the difference in performance against Kona solids. They have 3 yard bundle solids for less than $9. I know many pooh-pooh these fabrics, but I have had terrific performance from them. I'm sure that we have shared quilting DNA!

What size does this finish at?
48”X 48” but it’s easy to add on to. The pattern gives instructions on making it bigger and longer than wider.
