Good job, freaky bug in the box, are you on a well system because there seems to be alot of dirt and sand in your water, even the new toilet has a little after a few flushes, true about the valves they are toast after a few years, but I have been replacing mine as I need to with angle stop quarter turn ball valves, and new supply lines. Thanks for the video
Good day to you! Thank you very much for your message. Yes, we are on a well here. Last year, we were in a severe drought and we did get a lot of sand and mud in the water. You have a good eye! Did you install a Kohler Arc toilet as well? 🚽
@@jeffcunha9114 Well I am in a toss up between the Kohler high arc extra high seat at 19 inches or the Glacier bay power flush that is chair height, I am getting mixed reviews but thinking of glacier bay, some say the flush on Kohler is not as good. What do you think
@@muddywater64 I can't speak to the performance of the Kohler extra high seat, but the Kohler Chair Height toilet featured in this video has been outstanding as far as flush capability. We installed one of these at a home that was having regular backup and overflow issues, and they have not had an issue since. The Glacier Bay power flush sounds great. I am wondering if someone we know has installed one of them? I will ask around. When are you needing it?
@@muddywater64 Wow! I asked a plumber buddy of mine, and he said the Glacier power flush is a beast. He has installed several and has had super good success. I watched a video on it... looks pretty awesome. The video showed flushing seven billiard balls. Crazy.
@@jeffcunha9114 This seems to be where I am heading, I am buying it and installing on June 30th, Thank you for asking so quick, By the way loved the dog eating the box
Your assistant is adorable 😍. 🐾🍖
Thank you so much for your sweet message! Do you have a Labrador too? They make great helpers!
I love how your dog is eating the cardboard. Mine would too!
Thank you so much for your message! Yes, Kobe is always there to offer support. 😂 Do you have a lab too?
I like your dog!
Good day to you! Thank you so much for your message! He is a great companion and helper! Do you have a lab as well?
@@jeffcunha9114 I have had two black labs. My mom had two and my one daughter had two blacks, one yellow and now two chocolate. Hands down, the best dogs in the world in my opinion.
Wow, what a family of Labs! Yes, we had Rottweilers when we were first married, then got our first black lab about 20 years ago. Rosco wandered into our yard and became part of our family after we couldn't locate where he came from. We loved his personality, and were hooked!
Thanks
Absolutely. Thank you for taking the time to comment!
Thx
Thank you for your comment!
Yay!
Finally!
Is the wax ring that comes with the toilet OK? Or should I buy one of the heavier duty ones?
Good day to you. If your flange is slightly raised above the floor height, then the included wax ring will work perfectly. We used the included wax ring with great success.
You completely omit attaching the tank to the new bowl--along with the tightening tension recommended, etc. This video is of marginal value at best.
Thank you very much for pointing this out! Sorry for forgetting to include this! 😢
What model number
Good day to you. The model number of the toilet in this video is: Model K-78279-96. Are you looking to install one of these units?
How do u not show the flange part smh
Good day to you! Are you referring to the toilet flange where it mounts to the floor?
Dude. Stpp dragging the toilet across my wopd floors!
I didn't even realize that I was doing that. Was the sound bothering your ears? Sorry for the irritation.
@@jeffcunha9114 did the wood floor survive with no scratches?
@@gosman949 Yes, it sure did! This floor is indestructible... mostly. We have Kobe inside and even his sharp nails do not mar the finish. A+ on these floors!
Those are junk. The canister style flush valves are a very bad design. I get roughly 17 calls on a monthly basis because the customers toilets are constantly running, It's always the seal on the canister that's bad, So be prepared to replace that seal all the time, As a plumbing contractor I can't afford to keep going back to a customers house because of a bad design. If your a home owner and you install it yourself then that's on you if you have to constantly replace the seal.
Oh wow! That is crazy. I will keep an eye on the seal. Thank you for taking the time to point out this issue! We really appreciate it. Where are you located? It sounds like you are a busy guy!
What do you recommend?
@@debbiemartin2026 Good day to you. I respect the above review very much as he is a plumber and knows his business. I CAN tell you that I have installed several of these units and have been very pleased. We were so impressed with the flush quality, that I installed one in my own house. We are general contractors and electricians, however. So, a plumber would have better insight. I would be interested in what toilet he would recommend as well.
@@jeffcunha9114 I need to find a 19 inch high seat. My husband is concerned when he gets older lol…
@@debbiemartin2026Ah, I see. Yes, the chair height toilets are great as we get older! What units are you considering?
