I think your seeds are called Rocket in English ! You need a safety chain on the PTO shaft cover to the coupling , the cover is not supposed to spin. RDF are a good company,I have used them in the UK. I was 80 earlier this week.
It's very much like rocket but not the exact same I think. Yeah we know a chain is missing. we have to get 2. Thanks so much. Congrats! Hope you had a big party! Take care.

Thanks so much for the kind words. Oh our next project should be in Mexico, unfortunately that they are so expensive. Great that you are with us. Take care.
No episode is complete without a mishap involving Bram and water! Your bathroom looks incredible! Well done, boys, and a special shoutout to Simon's dad for doing a ceiling worthy of Michaelangelo!

I enjoy your videos so much! This one just came on at 10 this morning and I watched it immediately. It put me in a good mood for the rest of the day. I am truly interested in a tour if the bathroom. Lots if interesting things is happening there and i want to see the entire finished project. That was some really back-bending and very creative work. And the little I could see is beautiful craftsmanship. Really truly worthy of the time spent to complete.

hello Bram and Simon, great episode all the way through. A big thank you, Thank You for the signs of affection between you both: kisses, so sweet. I presume next week a full tour of the bathroom will delight us all. Proud Gay Couple, excellent show, Good Job!
Hi Pete! Thanks so much. Thanks for reminding us the importance of those signs of affection in the vlog. It’s important for so many reasons. Have an amazing weekend!
Great video as usual…Amazing progress on our home! Just finished watching your video on this Sunday morning ( I know, I’m am late…usually watch your videos on Friday when the videos are posted…sorry! ) But I have an excuse…today is the last day my partner and I will be here at our country home…we sold it and are moving to a newly constructed home located close to Ottawa….we are leaving a 4 acre property with 100 year old trees for an acre lot which doesn’t have a single blade of grass…but it is a clean slate and so lots of room for new trees and plants…an you videos are inspiration for seeing what “can be”. Oh and another inspiration…we need a mantle for our fireplace…and are going to look for the perfect old beam to sand, restore and install… Simon, we need your sanding skills and Bram, we need you carpentry/installation skills….care for a trip to Canada LOL…Thanks guys for sharing your journey! Absolutely, look forward to more videos!
Beautiful job with the bathroom. Lol Bram, toilet not necessary only and accessory - made me smile. My questions for the Q&A are - "Are you still living the van life while doing the house up. Do you still sleep in the van?" and "What are you listening to Bram?" You always seem to have headphones on! 🙂 *hugs*

Quick thought on your favorite vegetable: My guess is that there isn’t actually an English term for it. I’m from Cologne, and Rübstiel (sometimes also called Stielmus) is well known in the rhinelands, but in the rest of Germany it’s quite uncommon. It’s a joy watching you two, thanks for sharing a glimpse into your journey!
Oh there is a German word for it! Thanks so much. I think it's typical dutch and German. Even in The Netherlands it's not very wel known. Have a wonderful weekend!
Your vlog start my Fridays off with a smile, a true highlight of my week. The bathroom is beautiful and I love that the sink table comprises wood from your house in the Netherlands connecting your past accomplishments with your present. Luna is such a supervisor, I'm sure she will be very involved with supervising your baby girl's care.😘 Q&A: How did you meet? I know Bram has at least 1 brother are there more siblings for him and do you have any? As I stated before, I am amazed at how much you both (&Simon's dad) have completed in mere months. Thank you for sharing another week with us. 👍🤗❤
Yes what a fun video , it is true you don't need mirrors in the house you both know what you look like 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I know you call a Sink in the Kitchen , but the Bathroom ones are called Basin , l don't know why ? but it's is what it is . good you are having fun Love from Melbourne Australia 🦘🐊🐨😁

Congratulations on your first bath! I hope that was champagne in those cups… soon you’ll even be able to do laundry. Didn’t see any rain & only minor mishaps this week. That’s Extraordinary. I love that you’re reusing old materials to customize your home. Tres chic! (I think thats french Hahaha) Re: Q&A I’ve been wondering if you can do all this renovation work in France without any permits/inspections? Also will your baby girl be officially Dutch or will she have dual citizenship? Proust!
Congratulations on the great bathroom progress! I remember you mentioned creating more spaces for something like a B&B. Perhaps you can address that in more detail for the Q&A? Also, what is the name of the town you always visit for bread?
Question for Bram. I noticed that you built the base for your sink. However, it must be difficult in an old stone farm house to attach cabinets, tiles and many other items when the floor or the walls are not square at 90 degrees. What kind of tricks are you using to solve this problem? In North America our homes are mostly wood so we can just use trim to cover up problems and gaps.
Really enjoy your videos. Thanks so much. You both make me smile! Exciting times for you. Well done on all your work. It’s all looking great. Is the crop you’ve sown Rocket, a salad leaf?
Hello B loves S. Will you consider covering the roof of one of your many buildings with solar panels to become your own power plant. The shed roof is huge. I wish you all the luck, you will hit 10K followers soon, 50K soon after.
Hi Pete! We do have a permission to do that so once we have the money we will :) thanks so much for the support and confidence 50k would be great. Take care.
Michael Caine spoke of a stay in a Scottish Highland hotel, the landlady asked him if he had a good memory for faces? He replied 'yes he did'. 'Good she said because the room doesnt have a mirror' Fabulous camera, watching this on a 27" screen 1080 was as good as 4K. 👍
Those gorgeous pinky rhododendrons ! Looking lovely outside Simon ….lovely vids really. Great work Team! Are you actually sleeping in the house yet! Thosebaguettes must be supercharged. 🎉❤Yes lots of ‘details’ minor things!
A question for you….lol, or questions: what are your long term plans for your property ? I believe you have a separate flat for your parents ?….do you plan on having a gîte as well and renovating any of the barns into living accommodations ? You must be trying to get as much done as you can before baby arrives…is that very soon ? Congratulations in advance….you are going to be amazing Dads ❤❤❤
Hi Guys I really enjoy your vlog. A couple of questions How did you two meet? How long have you two been together? What did each of you do for work prior to your vlogging career? How did you develop your construction/carpentry/plumbing/electrical skills? I also eagerly await your vlog each week. Thank you!
Hi Guys, just a couple of thoughts.. it was hard to see in the brief shot shown, but the bolt on the mower PTO shaft, may be an intended shear bolt. Most agricultural power equipment has one fitted somewhere. It's purpose is to snap if the unit is overloaded say in that case, that you hit a rock or something hard. The bolt is sacrificed to the mower isn't damaged. Alternatively it could just be a PTO shaft adaptor that should then be bolted up with a spring washer, although the double nuts you've done will work too. The other comment is the vegetable greens you mentioned, on the seed packet, they normally list the botanical name as well as the common name. You know it in Dutch by the common name. If you tell us what the botanical name is (which will be in latin) then we can find the common name in English.
Thanks so much for this. Thats a great comment and I think it's highly possible you are right. We have to fix a new 'break bolt' I think. ORGANIC ORIENTAL NAMENIA (similar to Mizuna). This is what we could find. Namenia was on the package as well. Have an amazing weekend!
@@vangaze I used to have a square hay baler that used to eat shear bolts like they were chocolate. Just make sure you never put a hardened machine bolt in as it won't snap when needed. Namenia's botanical name is Brassica Rapa. Mizuna is the Japanese cultivar of it. They are all from the Brassica family so related to Broccoli, Cauliflower, Brussels sprouts. In English it's most likely referred to as bitter or peppery salad greens similar to arugula or rocket.
@@chriscansdale6389 Yeah We are going to check for them for sure thanks. I think it's in the same 'family' but strongly enough there is not a precise translation for it. Have a great day!
Perhaps the confusion for your seed that you keep mentioning is that there are two words for the plant. American English = Arugula, British English = Rocket. There you go
I think your seeds are called Rocket in English ! You need a safety chain on the PTO shaft cover to the coupling , the cover is not supposed to spin. RDF are a good company,I have used them in the UK. I was 80 earlier this week.

Bathroom looks awesome guys
Thanks so much! Take care.
Saludos desde Chipas Mé xico. Great progress all-round. Love your content!
Thanks for being with us! Take care.
The bathroom looks great! My question for the Q and A is “How did you two meet?”
We are very happy with how the bathroom turned out! Thanks so much.
Really enjoy your videos. Thanks so much. You both make me smile! Exciting times for you. Well done on all your work. It’s all looking great. Is the crop you’ve sown Rocket, a salad leaf?
Thanks for being with us! It's very similar to rocket! Take care.
Oh and I do have a 4k iMac. 🤪
Haha mirrors are overrated. Thanks so much. Have an amazing weekend.

Thanks so much for the questions and being with us. We are going to try and answer all of them. Take care. Have a lovely day.
The salad leaf is known as Rocket in the UK
It's very similar but not the exact samen I think. Thanks!
I look forward to seeing the bathroom in a video. I am drilling for your sink table. Its legs are a masterpiece!
Enjoy the bubbles my sweets.
Thanks so much for the kind words. Have a wonderful day!
Your bathroom looks nice! Enjoy it! ❤️
Where are you both from? How did you meet? How old are you? 😊
Thanks so much. We do! We are from The Netherlands! Have a great day!
Hi Guys
I really enjoy your vlog.
A couple of questions
How did you two meet?
How long have you two been together?
What did each of you do for work prior to your vlogging career?
How did you develop your construction/carpentry/plumbing/electrical skills?
I also eagerly await your vlog each week.
Thank you!
Thanks so much! Great to have you with us. Thanks for the questions. Take care.
bram still smiling through a water leak 🙂
Haha Bram is always laughing. Thanks so much.
What happened to your house in the Netherlands? What breed are your dogs? How long have you been together? Fun video, thanks.
Thanks so much! Have a great day!
Thanks so much. Finally everything including ourselves will be clean haha. Have an amazing week, see you next week.
Bathroom is looking beautiful ✨🌈👍🏻🌈✨
Thanks so much! Take care.
It’s called a drip hose. 😘
Haha thanks. Take care.
I JUST FOUND YOUR CHANNEL. LOVE YOU GUYS. I LIVE I VIRGINIA USA
Great to have you with us. Thanks so much. Have a lovely day!
Arugula in English....we also call it rocket....
It’s called rocket
Thanks so much.
have you a living area complete ?
Hi! Thanks. no we have not. Kitchen/living room is what we are still missing. Take care.
Please wear safety specs x
We do almost always! Thanks so much.
Perhaps the confusion for your seed that you keep mentioning is that there are two words for the plant. American English = Arugula, British English = Rocket. There you go
Yeah but it's not exactly that unfortunately. We know Arugula and rocket here too. but It's something different as far we've seen. Thanks so much!
