- This is the Gomexus handle upgrade and replacement for the Lew’s Mach SMASH baitcaster combo that gives you much better gripping and control than the stock Winn paddle grip handles.
I take you through a blind unboxing and install of the Gomexus product in preparation for some bass tournaments I’m scheduled to participate in this April. It’s going to be cold out there hunting largemouth and smallmouth bass, so I want my gear full loaded and ready to go!

Great video! I started out with a Lewis but have moved almost exclusively to shimano reels and rods.
Thank you! I gotta say that Shimano is definitely one of my favorites as well. Lew’s has never let me down (except for these cheap paddles), but Abu Garcia has really done me solid!
Still have the Curado DC on my bucket list, but it’s tough on a budget. Maybe someday…

Def pick up a DC! I only have 1 but I love it for moving baits you need to cast a mile. The 1 thing shimano did wrong was get rid of the curado 70 series. That’s was the only mistake they ever made.

Get yourself a magnetic bowl from Harbor Freight when working with tiny screws. Work over the bowl.

They must have sent the Abu Garcia one to me. If you click on the link you’ll scroll down and see the list of compatible models. The Lew’s is covered under all manufacturers.
It would probably be best to reach out to them and give them your make/model for best compatibility.👍🎣

The thing I'm disappointed most about with mine is the spool tensioner is not very adjustable with in 1 click its 0 to 100 real quick
I have an Abu Garcia like that. Only it’s the braking system. Whether it’s at 10 or 0 it’s like there aren’t any brakes. Haven’t had an issue with the tension knob in these tho. But I’ve noticed most budget gear is either locked or fully open fairly quick on the tension knob.
I’d recommend trying shimano reels. The shimano budget reels are much better than other budget reels.
