Great thoughts in the video! I do like that their mutual respect for idealogies caused them not to bring it up amongst each other. I really do think if they were to discuss it that Qui gon would have maybe caused the first Jedi split (Where many sub jedi factions spawn) kinda like how Martin Luthers writings on the door caused a schism in Christianity... but what do I know I'm kinda sus

I think he did, you're right. But I think that was in the Legends timeline. It seems like he left the Order a bit earlier in the Canon timeline. How he became Count of Serenno is different, as well.

This is so funny considering the death of Qui Gon was a leading reason Dooku left the Jedi.

I think Dooku already left the Order before then, actually, at least based on the two books Padawan and Master & Apprentice. It looks like Dooku left well before Qui-Gon's death. Still though, wonder how it would have been different for the two of them had they spoken with each other.

He left before in canon but in Legends Qui-Gon's death was the reason in Legends.
