Very good points, repeatability builds accuracy. Just acquired a competitive crossbow, found the OEM scope was defective, they happily replaced and accuracy was confirmed. Great points on weighing arrows and numbering them. I have been shooting compounds for 40+ years and just switching to crossbows this year. I appreciate your information as it’s the same for all types of shooting, traditional archery or firearms repeatability builds accuracy.
I took my tenpiont c.b. xrt to shop and they are still waiting on new limbs and its been 3.5 weeks . Ive been on ebay and can not find limbs. Does anyone know where to find ????
Thanks for the arrow numbering and grouping tip. Arrows 1, 4 and 5 are hitting in almost the same spot at 30 yards. Arrow 2 is over 2.5 inches off, at 10:00 and arrow 6 is 3 inches off, at 2:30. Any ideas what to do with these arrows?
Try rotating the nock to a different vane, it’s most likely the spine is in different alignment with the cock vane, if that works mark the vane as the new cock vane…if that doesn’t work satisfactorily, strip off the vanes and try bare shaft tuning by rotating the nock to find best spine orientation, then reflech
Excellent information on improving accuracy….. I have a Viper S 415 but haven’t fired it yet, but would like to know if the HPX nock can be used on bows that require HP nocks
