I heard this name from my Dad who was a railway employee posted in Daunte and used to travel to Bhigwan Baramati Pune and Mumbai. ...but such a dry area...looks like industrial town.
I now live in Canada and remember this being a "Narrow Gauge" track. Surprised that it is now "Broad Gauge" and that you refer to the locomotive as an Alco. Not many people remember that name unfortunately that was first made in 1962 in New York, USA. Being a "Railway Child" I know. The "Narrow Gauge" was like a toy train that we went on to go for picnics to Sirsuphal and Baramati. Going through this video brought back a lot of sad memories for me. Saw quite a few spots that I remember.
awesome video of a rarely captured section ! Kudos for taking the trouble to upload this 22 min video !! must have required a lot of effort !! BTW the HT horn of this WDM3D is pure EMD style.
It is a very nice video many people of India even abroad peope also does not know the facts of Railway due to this vedio many people will come to know our country places and type of Railways. Thanks and Regards for showing
@Shantilal Jain. You are right. I am watching this in the desert in California. India is lucky to still have real passenger trains, with windows that let the air in, and where you can hear the sound of the rails.
ha ha ha awesome! i always saw this track diverge at daund and wondered where tf it went, finally someone showed that :) if possible do a kurduvadi pandharpur one too
I like watching Indian train pictures & videos. You people are doing superb coverage of train videos and pictures. But there is no new train pictures in your IRFCA GALLERY SINCE LAST 3 YEARS. Watching videos is just as thou I am sitting on the window train and seing INDIA through our own eyes.
Feel very sad, even after presence of so strong politicians in Baramati for past 50 years, this line is still under developed, no electrification-no EMUs-no proper platforms and shades in intermediate stations, less no of coaches to passengers, lesser frequency. But when DEMU started suddenly they appeared from nowhere, made chaotic celebration at Pune station and claimed the credit.....indeed smart people.
@@TRM12130 lovely cant wait to see!!!, a few ideas of areas that you havent covered infact most people havent :) 1) guntakal guntur during daytime 6:25 morning train starts at guntakal and reaches guntur at 5 pm 2) dharmavarm tirupati via pakala 3) bidar gulbarga via the new DEMU 4) nandyal yerraguntla via the new DEMU
superb coverage! Shuruvat mein woh EMD ka kya acceleration tha, waah :D (Y) And the section seems totally underdeveloped, station surroundings kya pichda hua lag rahe, except Baramati, nothing seems to be in good shape
After 10 years I was watching my Home town. Thank you 🙏

This one was nothing infront the NG train, i travelled 27 years ago...u can get ticket inside compartment itself...seats looked funny..nostologic
Very good video,AP,enjoyed,Catch the action between Solapur to Gadar as it is also less videographed route.
Super sound WDM3D loco 👌
While departing speed of Goods train was slow then it overtook passenger train. Power of EMD 💪💪
Now...this is a single electric line. Wish the glorious diesel days would rewind.
