I love the dna tests! I did one and I was always told I was half Portuguese quarter Irish quarter Scandinavian. Turns out, I’m nearly half Spanish! It was so shocking but my family agreed not to tell our grandma :)

The Johnstons are a scottish clan, more notably around the border area between scotland and england. They are scottish through and through. Jamestown is named after james the first of england who was also king of scotland forming the united kingdom. This was a time of many scots being shuffled around and many were sent to ireland before shipping off to the new world which is were the confusion of the johnstons being irish comes from. Most of the records were destroyed in a fire started by the rival clan maxwell so information is hard to come by but there are a small group of us trying to put it back together
