I have that same speaker and I can tell you after five months of hiking in the rain many times, it still works great. The full charge has gone down to just four hours but it still works great.

Jbl bt speakers are the best. But after years, 2 ot 3 yrs.. the battery getting problem and the unit cannot be used.. And no where to find a replacement for the battery.
you don't need to buy a specific battery for the speaker, they run on the most generic lipos (only replace if you know what you're doing, handling lithium batteries is the easiest way to light your house on fire)

Ahhh crap.. just got the charge 5 to replace by UE Megaboom.. the UE is around 6yrs old and battery still sweet.. speaker starting to go though from too much thrashing ha ha.. chrage 5 sounds better though..
No wonder why this speaker is trash, the driver is a box driver, and mine sounds awful. Its got such a cheap tweeter as well. Disappointed. Edit: i returned it, and got a new one. Turns out the driver was faulty. Actually got 9/10 sound would recommend. 😅😐
Can u take the jbl flip 6 cover off and still put the jbl in water? I want to know because I always submerge my jbl in water, but I was always scared of taking the cover off because was thinking that if i put water on it without the cover, it would break, Please respond 🙏.
